I truly enjoyed my stay at this place! I stayed there twice last week and both my stays were wonderful! Gorgeous view on the winter lake - I felt like I’m on the moon crater.. tranquility, nice scenery, cosy fireplace, and really nice personnel! Staff from the restaurant and reception are very nice and helpful. Special thanks to Alex from front desk as he helped us a lot with various issues - from lost phone to forgotten cable car ticket! Thank you very much and I’m looking forward to visiting this place again

The staff was extra careful and helpful with us and our baby. Room was very clean, modernly furbished. The hotel is well located, with parking slots outside that we could use. Breakfast was delicious with good quality food. What we mostly appreciated was that breakfast goes from 7h00-12h00 and checkout is at 13h00, which gives peace of mind and plenty of time to pack and get all organised before leaving.

We stayed in a triple room in the Paxmontana Gasthaus although breakfast and welcome drink were offered in the main hotel. The location is wonderful. We were so happy we booked that hotel in this peaceful location surrounded by this beautiful greenery and walking paths. The staff is very efficient and kind. Our room in the Gasthaus was very comfortable. We definitely enjoyed our stay there

The stay was perfect! They had a good breakfast, the view from the room was surreal, and you could get to downtown Engleberg by foot through a tunnel directly from the hotel! The hotel is so beautiful inside and out, it is clean, good parking, and a charming staff :))

Not a good place for skiing,there are too many people going...

Not a good place for skiing,there are too many people going up the mountain every day, with only one lift going up. Hundreds of tourists not skiing using the same lift. We stood in a chaotic queue from the parking lot in the mornings foe at least 40 minutes to get onto the first lift. Half of our time we were not able to go up to Titlist as there were too many people. VERY EXPENSIVE for very little ski. Not worth it.

Excellent hotel — very clean and set in a beautiful little Swiss town with a lovely church just across the road. It’s a truly picturesque location. I didn’t interact with any staff as it was self check-in, which worked smoothly. There was plenty of parking, good facilities, and overall great value for money.

It is a small town with not many tourists when we visited.

It is a small town with not many tourists when we visited. You won't find any typical souvenir shops here (with fridge magnets, key chains, cow bells etc.). Also, every supermarket is closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

Melchtal has a cablecar and a road up to the plateau at nearly 2000m with a lake Melchsee and a small church. There are many cows and cheese is made there. Surrounding the lake are glorious peaks up to 2600m and Tiflis and other 3000m mountains are in the distance. On the lower level at the bottom of the cable car are much closer craggy peaks and the delightful Waldhaus guesthouse with it’s excellent restaurant.

Actually the place is nice but the housekeeping is terrible. We stayed for 3 nights and they never actually change our towels and the worst is they never clean the room although we had the sign that needs cleaning. We have to call their attention every night . Our vacations ruin everything whenever we come back to the hotel as we are disappointed of the situation.. We had a great day but it destroyed our aura as we return.. To the owner: Pls check your housekeeping .

Beautiful town and lots of activities to do. We enjoyed in Trubsee and Furenalp. We regret of staying only for 2 days. Best to stay at least 5 days or a week. Good food everywhere. Coop is also there if you want to cook. They have good meats at the butcher. Easy to get around.

Beautiful city and kid people and the view was stunning, the atmosphere was peaceful. The bus stop was conveniently nearby, with buses arriving every 5 to 10 minutes to Sarnen. We relished every moment of our time there. We can’t wait to return and experience it all over again. I highly recommend this place!

Sarnen is so beautiful with lush green hillsides, breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps, pretty streams and a peaceful lake. There are lovely walking trails and parks with boating activities and fantastic amenities. We were only able to stay a short while, but enjoyed a delicious dinner at Molini's, which we highly recommend. Everything we needed for our brief visit was within walking distance, or easy walk to the nearby train station.
