Don’t usually give Booking.com ‘straight ‘10’s’, but our host’s’ hospitality insured that my husband and I felt truly cosseted while enjoying this a-bit-above-our-average $$$ boutique hotel. Loved our deck, spacious room, ‘catered’ complete breakfast.

Hotel Rangi is extremely comfortable, and I loved the cozy room decor, which looks exactly like the pictures. The room is spacious and has everything you need. The breakfast is excellent, with the option to get freshly made eggs. The service is outstanding—the breakfast lady is super nice, and Catalina at the front desk went above and beyond to assist with any questions I had. The staff is knowledgeable and always willing to help. Pucon is a small, walkable town, and Hotel Rangi is perfectly located in the heart of it. Even as a solo female traveler, I felt safe here. I'll definitely be returning to Hotel Rangi in the future!

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year.

Pucon is great, I spend ~6 months there last year. Food is not consistently great but Trawen never disappoints. Try your sopaipilla with queso and merken! Walk a bit out of the center to a frutería and load up on berries and other great produce in the summer. Souvenirs/artesanía are better outside of town (and further south). If you find something cool, just buy it, you might not find it again :)

Go here to get away from the hustle and bustle of Villaricca and Pucon. Incredible nature for hiking and a big lake for rest and relaxation. And stay at the Portal Casternera Caburgua with Gladys and Enrique for an epic time!!

The city center is very beautiful, it is very safe and we can connect with nature without walking for so long, it is very easy to buy souvenirs and eat in the best places, homemade food made by traditional families, Ubers are very cheap and we can learn a lot of culture, without a doubt a fascinating place.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to.

Pucon is an excellent place to plan a short visit to. Driving off Rte 5 (the main spine road of Chile) we nearly stopped at Villarica but were very pleased that we had pressed on to see what Pucon was like. Both are great towns but we are glad we stayed in Pucon. The beach on the lake was lovely and there are lots of lively restaurants and bars in the small town.
