Michelle was absolutely wonderful and extremely helpful in arranging all activities for our trip. The food was delicious. The prices were fair. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel features a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 1.2 mi from downtown Guilin. The staff really friendly, very thankful for auntie who help us carried luggage go upstairs, is surprised us Boss also so so friendly, send snack to our rooms, prepare fruits and give us tested passion fruit drink so delicious and also help us ask taxi drivers to go faster because we running late 😀 😉

The Apsara Lodge has been praised by its friendly & caring quality service.It is located in a beautiful countryside 3.7 miles from the county seat, surrounded by mountains and a small river flows... This hotel was just perfect for our weekend in Yangshuo, out of the busy city and only 15min away by scooter (available from the hotel). Very quiet and beautifully arranged. River view room was very nice, breakfast is just what we needed and the staff was really kind and fulfil all our requests: book the scooter, activity recommendations and bookings. We highly recommend moon hike / the light show / river bamboo rafting.

Surrounded amid impressive Karst mountains, Yangshuo Mountain Retreat is located at the edge of Yulong River. Free WiFi access is available. Free parking space is offered. The location and the outside appearance of Yangshuo Mountain Retreat almost impossibly beautiful. It is situated a stone’s throw from the Yulong River in a valley that is one of the most magical places I have ever visited. Near-vertical towering karst terrain spires line the valley on either side and tower directly behind the resort itself. The resort provides free bicycles which are better maintained that those that I have found for free in other hotels and there are free helmets and bicycle locks provided. The bike ride up the valley for a mile or so along a wide brick paved path that runs along the banks of the river offers a parade of vertical peaks on either side of the river(there are more extensive bike routes listed online but these involved sharing the road with busy auto and motor scooter traffic and I,for one, did not think the risk of an orthopedic, or head, injury was worth it). The Yulong river valley is lined with small farms and has so many gorgeous plants(from banana trees to rice ready for harvest and local wild flowers), that I chose to walk it several times to appreciate the fine detail one misses when biking. The exterior of the resort itself is very charming with exuberant blooming bougainvillea lining the path and framing the verandas of each room. The interiors and plumbing are somewhat old fashioned but comfortable and clean and the rooms have a small veranda with chairs and a small table looking out onto a stunning bougainvillea-framed view of the river and mountains. The staff were friendly and went out off their way to be helpful. They welcomed us on our first day with a complimentary pot of ginger tea and a little plate of cookies. The ginger tea was so good we went back three times during our stay for a pot of the same tea. The restaurant was cozy and the chinese dishes were good(we did not try their western menu).

Li River Resort is located on the west bank of Li River and offers a relaxing retreat in Chinese-style accommodations. Very good location, walking distance to the town. Excellent staff, friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a wide schedule that is very convenient and the menu has Chinese and western food. Nice pool, also a good play area for children

Nestled in bamboo forests and surrounded by rural farmland, Riverside Retreat Hotel overlooks the beautiful water of the Li River. Best view in whole yangshou. The location makes it quiet and it’s still very close to the city centre. The staff helped us with getting 2 bikes from the hotel for 20 yuan/ person. Quite a good deal for the whole day. We were tired from the bike and couldn’t come back as we wanted to eat and they let us park the bikes in the centre and they got them picked from there. Very convenient and no up charge! If you go in winter you can just ask for more heaters! The air con works as a heater as well. Also as we went in off season they upgraded our room for free!!

Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city center. The staff were amazing with me , and the hotel was amazing n close to center things n restaurants
