The city of Barcelona is great. So much shopping. Great little bars and restaurants to visit. Time out Barcelona is awesome. Las Ramblas is great. La Sagrada de Familia is a must see. The metro is very easy to figure out and get around with. Loved Athens. Food is amazing and heaps of stuff for the history buffs! Plenty of cafes and restaurants and most of the major sites are within walking distance of each other. Malaga is very good place for families and groups of friends to visit. Just be sure to check the weather, as it can be very hot and you might not feel like going out during the day.The cathedral is stunning, and the marina is lovely to walk around. the food is delicious and the city is not too big which makes it easy to explore. I was in Spain for 14 days. Valencia was nice for a 2 day stay. 2-3 days is perfect. Anything more would probably be too long. I felt comfortable exploring the city solo, however, mealtime as solo traveler isn't the best experience. Getting around to walkable areas was easy, but trying to catch public transit posed a challenge. Beautiful city. Rocky beaches. Awesome beach clubs (we did Castel Plage). Delicious food. More cafes than you can shake a stick at! Went in mid-July and the weather was just absolutely perfect! Blue sky and azure waters. No rain except one small drizzle. Walked beaucoup, took the tram, Ubers, and the ZOU! regional train. Visited Monaco, Cannes, and the nearby mountaintop medieval village of Eze. Stayed 8 full days and loved every minute of it. So relaxing. Palermo was a delightful surprise, a gem of a town. It's clear that tourism, as we know it today, is still a relatively new phenomenon here, and there's much left to explore. However, that is also part of the charm of the place. Everything feels incredibly authentic; the people are kind, caring, and spontaneous, embracing the wave of tourists curious about what the city has to offer. In general, I found many individuals to be open-hearted and genuinely interested in showcasing the best of Sicily. The beauty of Palermo lies in finding a cozy corner, enjoying a nice coffee, gelato, beer, or limoncello spritz, and simply soaking in the ambiance. The historical heritage here is not the most impressive, and the nearest beach is an hour away by public transport.
