We had an outstanding stay at Hotel & Restaurant “Zur Post” in Otterndorf bei Cuxhaven. From the moment we arrived, we were met with exceptional service and warm hospitality. Traveling with our four field spaniels, we were delighted by how accommodating the hotel was. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and provided a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the restaurant—despite closing hours, the staff went above and beyond to prepare a delicious dinner for us, ensuring we had an unforgettable dining experience. Every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations, and we wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a high-quality stay with outstanding service. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast and very friendly and accommodating staff. The lady who checked us in spoke excellent English and was happy to do so, and that was really kind of her.

We stayed twice over a three week period and were pleased with the welcoming reception and the quality of the food both at breakfast and the evening dinner. Philip on our first visit and Cecilia on our return were both particularly helpful and chatty. Very clean and comfortable room and easy parking on the market square at the front of the hotel made for a very pleasant stay.

The free of charge parking, the very friendly hotel employee, the easy check in, the for us perfect room and bathroom as well as the perfect breakfast. Wifi worked well.

Easy parking and excellent check-in, honestly probably the best hotel breakfast I've had in years not too extravagant but everything was there. Room was a good size with a decent shower and wasn't too noisy. Hosts were efficient and pleasant.

The location is lovely - just a short walk from the coast. It’s quite a long way into the centre of Cuxhaven but there are local restaurants so it doesn’t matter.

The hotel exceeded my expectations! The location is amazing, it’s 5 minutes from the sea and close to a nice cafe. I had birthday and the staff surprised me with a bottle of Sekt and a plate of fruits for breakfast. The breakfast itself was also great, with scrambled eggs, yogurt and a big variety of fruits, cheese, and nuts. The spa area is very relaxing.
