The location is perfect--close to the train station, close to a nice walking area of town, but also close enough to jump on the freeway to go south to Innsbruck or north to Ettal or Oberammergau. It's so quiet at night, I didn't need earplugs (and I'm a sensitive sleeper)! The bathroom has all necessary amenities, and the minibar beverages were complimentary as well which was a beautiful touch. The spa services are wonderful, the restaurant was wonderful--honestly, going half board here was the best decision I've ever made because the four course dinners were heavenly. The underground parking gave me true peace of mind as well. The bed was also an awesome size for a solo traveler - bigger than a normal single for sure!

I like Bad Reichenhall, It is a very cozy and picturesque place. Even if there weren't so many tourists oriented points around, I'd be getting pleasure just walking through this town. I like the Avalon hotel: its kind stuff, its cozy cafe on the ground floor, its warm atmosphere, and many, many other small things that leave a very pleasant impression. I'd especially express my thanks for disconnecting the rain detector from the marquis management system. This year, I had a chance to have a cigarette looking at the beautiful mountain view sitting on the balcony while it was raining..

It really is the most beautiful hotel in a stunning location. All of the faciliites were lovely in particular the outside swimming pool and I very much appreciated the indoor pool being open 24 hours. Potentially the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and I felt incredibly rested after my stay. Some really thoughtful small touches such as wine/champagne at reception for guests and coffee in the morning to take with you as you start your day. I also loved the gift of a loaf of sourdough at the end of my trip - a very nice touch. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Can't fault anything about my trip at all.

We had a wonderful stay, especially as a family! The hotel offers fantastic options for everyone — the pool, gym, sauna, mini golf, and theater kept us entertained, and the three included meals each day were delicious, with fresh natural juices in the morning being a highlight. The location is also perfect, close to the top attractions in the city, making it easy to explore. Most of all, the incredible staff made our stay feel extra special. We’re already planning our next vacation to return here in the winter — can’t wait! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.

Me and my wife booked for two nights and we wished we had booked for more! Truly exceptional place. The facilities are top notch, you can swim in the infinity pool with mountains covered in snow just in front of you, the 270° lounge was truly relaxing to have a chat or read a book. The spa was incredible with a sauna, a heated pool and floating chairs in a mountain lounge all overlooking the incredible views. Breakfast and dinner were both absolutely delicious, with versatile options. The rooms are spacious, very modern with alpine style. Around the place you can hike with nice hiking trails, we hiked to the eukbaur where there's a nice restaurant. Definitely would go back there, it's in our top 10 unique hotels around the world.

The view from our room was marvelous. The room was big, clean, equipped with everything. Good breakfast and dessert. Appreciated the snacks served between breakfast and dinner. Plenty of alcoholic drinks to choose from, good cocktails. I appreciated the private sundeck with sunbeds and that the SUPs and canoes were for free, as well as life vests and paddles. The self service bar was a nice touch too. Even though we discovered it on our own, since no one actually told us about it. Even if I did not use the service, I think it's cool they provide bikes for rental. I appreciated we received the Grainau Card, even if we didn't really use it. But a cute gesture. Parking with a lot of spaces, only for hotel guests.

Absolutely everything, Monica at the front desk is simply amazing, Franz (I think) is also the best and happiest host ever. We even had a Germany Fireman test alarm with all the works, smoke, water, rescue. It was an interesting event to live through and see and enjoyed a few free drinks for our trouble. Top location to visit Eibsee and Zugspitze, we could leave the car there after check out and take a bus to Eibsee. The bus stop is just around the corner and the hotel provided us with free bus tickets for the first day and the day of check out. The view from the hotel is also spectacular, for the price in the area you can't ask for more.

The breakfast was outstanding! So MUCH FOOD! Everything tasted very good! The coffee machine was “icing on the cake”. I enjoyed a cappuccino every morning. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is one of those towns you need to keep coming back to. We love GP for a weekend getaway. We always ride the train in and get around by foot (or bus) after we're there. Go in every season...there's always something wonderful to experience.

I absolutely loved this villa.

I absolutely loved this villa. Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The view was stunning, the fire camp made the atmosphere extra special and the breakfast was deliciou. Everything about the stay was perfect, and I couldn’t have asked for more.

The views and the mountains are the reason to come here,...

The views and the mountains are the reason to come here, along with hiking trails, biking ones as well. Only problem was the train schedule was changed after booking, so it took longer to get there, with less time to spend in the area. The town is not really set up for tourists, car required for efficient getting around in town.

A picturesque little village with a train station to the Zugspitze, outdoor and indoor swimming and saunas, beautiful mini-golf, lots of hiking trails, and good connections, e.g., Garmisch to Partenkirchen and the Austrian side. It is only under a 1,5 h drive from Munich.

Ruhpolding is an excellent location for walks, with beautiful scenery in every direction. There are many attractions such as chairlifts, swimming pool, crazy golf etc ,some of which are free of charge with the Visitor Card. Also, bus and local train services are free of charge. We have been to Ruhpolding 15 times and and have enjoyed every holiday even when the weather has not been very favourable.

Small town with good places to eat in a beautiful location. Guests at the hotels and apartotels may receive a free bus pass which is extremely useful for the 359 and 357 buses that travel lakeside. For the 4 nights there is a Euro 24 community charge on top of your booking.

I've been visiting Schoenau am Koenigssee and the Berchtesgaden region since 1974 because of its stunning alpine scenery, including the Berchtesgaden National Park and the Koenigssee Lake. Berchtesgadener Land offers something for everyone.

Inzell is beautiful, lovely views, restaurants, cafes and activities to do. The chiemgau karte is the reason we can back. We hired bikes, played crazy golf, painted pottery, adventure golf, tyre sliding, indoor & outdoor pools, chair lifts, the buses, trains etc all on the card for free. We were then able to buy drinks/ snacks/ dinners at all the venues. It was fantastic. Ban Thai restaurant, Kreinburg, salvatone, vroni & lindl brauer restaurants were all very tasty. More buses on a Sunday would be better.

A beautiful little town in the mountains.

A beautiful little town in the mountains. There are sooo many choices of where to eat. Walking around oldtown is a treat with the paintings on the buildings, views of the mountains and decisions of where to eat. Oldtown is completely walkable.

Reit in Winkl is a lovely Bavarian village that has everything you need, and great access to other areas and facilities just a short drive away. It is right on the doorstep of a great family friendly ski area (Winklmoos/Steinplatte) and easy travelling other areas such as St Johann or Kitzbühel.
