This hotel is like a very pleasant surprise in the beautiful city of MAINZ. Very clean, very comfortable. the staff was super helpful (especially Mr. Mehdi and others whom in not aware of names). Very well decorated and rooms full of detailed amenities up to the level of dental floss. Great work by the hotel management and i think it will be a great success. Even the soaps, shampoos and conditioners were of organic type and not containing sodium laureth sulfate which is great.

We didn't realize this is one of the Relais & Châteaux hotels before we arrive, and we're totally satisfied after arrival. Pretty nice holiday getaway hotel with good location, view, facility and friendly staff. There is a gift riesling in the room(yes of course, this is Geisenheim, riesling is the reason that brought us here), and it is a pretty tasty one. The hotel has a fine restaurant attached to it, but we didn't have a chance to try due to reservation issues.

The hotel was very modern and clean. Breakfast was lovely, and so were the staff. No bar, but there is a fridge with wines, beers, and snacks - you just write down what you have used if Reception is closed. There's an Argentinian Steak Restaurant, that has recently opened, next door - and a lively bar in the village, where all the locals meet. Great little base for touring the area!

Perfect location, great facilities and big, comfortable rooms with excellent bathrooms. The staff is amazing - literally all the staff members we engaged with during our two-night stay was fantasticaly friendly, helpful, nice and fun! The restaurant serves great food and excellent wine with a couple of tasty vegan options. There is live traditional German music every evening, and it was surprisingly entertaining, and being in Rüdesheim, you need to be prepared to for things to be a little over the top touristy-wise. Great choices for breakfast (not vegan though).

This was a new experience for us as the very comfortable, large room we had was actually in an old people's home - which of course meant that it was a quiet and friendly place to stay! The whole complex is just up the hill from the Kurpark in Wiesbaden and a very pleasant walk from the town centre, with parking provided (although you will need to book in advance). The room was very well equipped with a well stocked small kitchen area, and had nice extra touches like little pots of honey from their own bees. The small balcony was a lovely place for us to have breakfast, although you can also use the main restaurant facility. Indeed, the home also has a swimming pool and sauna although we didn't get around to using these. Overall this a lovely, good value place to stay in a nice town.

Check-in was hassle-free despite our arriving after reception hours. The beds were perfectly firm for a good night sleep, and the breakfast was superb! So many options one can never try everything! The hotel is in an excellent location, within short walking distance to Drosselgasse, restaurants, cafés and a supermarket. And to top It all off, the reception lady kindly went above and beyond to help us with our issues, for which we are very grateful.

Pretty little town set on the Rhine. The houses are colourful and diverse styles making it a pleasure just to walk the streets and admire them. The walking path west along the Rhine was great for early morning 10km jogs. There are lots of little clothes shops to visit if you like shopping. We stayed two nights and it was perfect.

Love the easy access to German supermarket, REWE.

Love the easy access to German supermarket, REWE. Also there is a great restaurant Baumstammhaus there. Good idea to make reservations on the weekend. Great price and great food. Get the senior plates. Got a regular schnitzel and it hung off the plate. That do box any leftovers though. We tried Bugs Gutsschänke and that was frightening. Walked in on three people dinning and they we're having a home cooked meal and didn't have a clue about service. Said we could set down and eat with them. It was looney tunes. Don't even bother with it.

I returned specifically to Rudesheim. The chairlift ride up through the vineyards is realxing and so scenic. Walk to the massive Germania statue then walk back to town (or chairlift down). Had I stayed longer I would have walked over to Assmanshausen - on the list for next time! The mechanical music museum is fabulous - very interesting exhibits. Love eating on the Drosselgasse - touristy but a lot of fun with good food, great wine and some places with entertainment.

It is a cosy, little town.

It is a cosy, little town. I was off-season and only for one night, so the town wasn't bustling with people. I arrived by train and it is very walkable city. If I have arrived by car, I would probably get irritated as there was a relatively large traffic jam when I left the train station and entire one-way street was filled with cars. I believe the entire region is best to be travelled by public transportation or bike or combination thereof. There was a very nice cheese shop opposite the hotel I stayed.

Ostrich-Winkel is a hidden treasure!

Ostrich-Winkel is a hidden treasure! This enchanting town is straight out of a fairytale, with its charming crooked streets, inviting restaurants, and an atmosphere that feels both magical and welcoming. The panoramic views are simply stunning - every turn reveals another picture-perfect moment. Highlights of my visit included exploring the quirky Kauters Corner, discovering local pizza craftsmanship at the Ostreich Factory, and enjoying an absolutely delicious meal at Athenas Mediterrane . The Greek restaurant served authentic flavors with warm hospitality that made the experience even more special. For anyone seeking a delightful blend of history, charm, and culinary delights, Ostrich-Winkel is a must-visit. I'm already dreaming of my next trip back to this wonderful town!

The town is next to a very busy road which spoils enjoyment of the riverside. If you are hoping to try local wines, you would be better choosing another town, (or perhaps a hotel in the town centre) my stay by the station was not near anywhere to eat or sample local wines. I was disappointed and another time will stay in Eltville.
