( the size of the dishes are huge and the food is very good). The check out is at 12. Free WiFi.

The food is so tasty, the staff is very polite, the swimming pool is great! We stay just for overnight before flight but it's more than worth to go there for relax. We booked half board and the dinner was 3course, very very tasty, the restaurant is very coisy and the personal was perfect too. The breakfast is very rich, high quality and good choice. There are 2 saunas and a roof-top swimming pool. The water in the pool is not too warm, but as outside was freezing - it was good. Just go and try this hotel - it's really more than worthy ❤️

My husband and I had a fantastic stay, filled with everything we could possibly ask for. Staff was extraordinary service minded, friendly and helpful. We prolonged our stay because we loved the experience, staff and place so much. Everything was top notch: service, staff, breakfast, dinners, beds, SPA-experience, room, area etc. We will definitely come back. Thank you to Team Schloss Berg!

Easy check-in, we came late but had good service for our car, a nice meal with good service and plenty of choice. The staff is just wonderful, helpful and kind. Our room was clean. spacious and with comfortable beds. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the calm and nice spa area. This is a lovely part of Europe to have a quick stop or a longer rest.

Cute cozy well equipped glamping pods - very clever design to make the most of the space, high quality fittings, and an outside deck to enjoy peaceful setting with breakfast or a glass of wine.
Just a minutes walk from both the thermal spa and a nice restaurant. We had two pods opposite each other which gave a nice balance of privacy and proximity.

Our park suite was super comfortable, large, quiet, beautiful. Underground parking was easy. Good food at the restaurant.
Our best grade though goes to the the staff at the reception desk and the restaurant! It has become rare ro be treated with so much kindness, patience, and a smile :-)

My family really like this small city, as for Chinese...
My family really like this small city, as for Chinese standard for defining city‘s scale, not only for the reason of Fan Zhendong being a player of Saarbrucken table tennis club in 2025-26 season, but also for the city itself.
It is easy for us to find a satisfied restaurant around railway station or in the area closed to Karstadt.
It is a little cold in the morning and evening but when you fall into sunshine in the noon, it makes you pleasure and comfortable.
We can find place to park, even in the very downtown of city.
Overall, the three-day stay in Saarbrucken is very impressive.

My family was originally from Sankt Wendel, Oberlinxweiler, and Remmesweiler, so it is a special place for our family. But it is a great town for staying (nice restaurants, pretty church, and more) for anyone whether you had relatives there or not.

The lake is one of the best spots to visit in summer, I really recommend going there for a little stand-up paddle trip, either with bringing one or renting one. The aquapark is also a nice place to visit for some more action.

We technically stayed in Orscholz, which is a smaller hamelt of Mettlach. It's right where the Saarschleife is as well as a number of biking and hiking trails. We only did the Saarschleife and the Spielplatz, but could have spent a couple days there!

This is the capital of the Saarland area, so has all the amenities of a big town. It has a mainline railway station, and "big town" shops. The centre is pedestrianised, and the old town area of the town is very attractive, with lots of cafes and bars. Around the wider area, the museum of the old, and very large steelworks in Voelklingen is very interesting, and so is the Karlsberg brewery in Homburg and the underground caves there. The Saarschleife bend in the river is beautiful, and there is a high pathway from which to get a better view of the spectacular scene. The local town is Mettlach, and it's a small and pretty place. You can visit the Villeroy and Boch museum and factory outlet there, which are also worth a visit! Slightly further up the line is Trier, the oldest town in Germany, and it still has plenty of Roman architecture. It's also in the German Rhineland vineyard area, so well worth a visit! Cheers!

Mettlach is a charming small town in Germany with many good shops. The church is also impressive. There are a lot of very nice hikes easily accessible from there offering tranquility and interesting landscape alongside the river Saar, for example. Burg Montclair, the remains of a castle on the hill, is also accessible and you can get coffee and cake until the end of October.

Saarbrücken is a quiet and green town with a relaxed atmosphere. People were friendly and welcoming, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I really appreciated the balance between sightseeing and peaceful downtime — it felt just right and never overwhelming.

A quiet place with all we needed.
A quiet place with all we needed. A good place to do sightseeing, by bike, on foot, by car. Great place to be in the garden as well. Not a lot of eating places but the kitched is well equiped. You can easily cycle into Luxembourgh or France.
