The breakfast is amazing, so is the staff serving the breakfast. It's vegan only but with a variety of options. I wasn't even able to taste everything they provide. They do also cater for allergies and intolerances such as soy or oats and prepare many things themselves. Just let them know in advance. Simply put -- jummy.
It's a 30 min hike up to the Drachenfels and just a few minutes to either regional transport or tram.

Ive visited a couple of weeks previously so not my first time. Breakfast is superb and friendly personnel very helpful. Room was quiet second floor with view towards hills. Cosy and very clean. Close to bus stop to travel to nearby towns. And five minute walk to Stadtbahn to travel to Bonn parallel to the Rhine. Reception area offers free cold water and protein drinks for guests.

The building and the room are excellent. The furnishings and bedding are spotlessly clean. It was as if I was the first guest in the room. A great place to rest on the road. The soft sound of the bell at 9am makes the place feel extra homely. Thank you!

Lovely location & staff, quiet location, the town square was easily accessible.
Only slight criticism is at least 3 people asked where the hotel was when standing on the street next to it, first time visitors may well just miss it, maybe better signage or descriptive flag on their pole !

I liked the scenery , great views all around , perfect...
I liked the scenery , great views all around , perfect place for morning and evening walks . The place wasn’t too busy giving us time to rest and unwind. Very quiet mornings and night time , giving ample time to take a proper rest. If you enjoy driving around this is great place to test and enjoy off road vehicles .😀 The area is very private allowing the visitors to themselves , it’s very easy to get around the place . We like to make our own food at home we didn’t get to taste food , nor do activities around Königswinter. I would visit this place repeatedly and highly recommend it .

No choices for b-fast when asked for something related b-fast being told NO, honestly OVERPRICED for what they offer….I mean 2 adults in a double room for 1 night with b-fast included to pay 126 euro and not having the chance to have a decent b-fast, then for what we have payed that much ??!

We were welcomed by the owner whilst he had waited for us because we were coming in late at night. He was super friendly and offered us more then we payed for. The room was nice and we all slept really good. The breakfast was really good and tasteful. We were positively surprised by the hospitality of this family hotel. I would recommend this hotel, especially when you are on your way and need a place to stay for the night. The highway is very close by which makes this hotel a perfect place to rest when you are traveling. It’s also close to some big cities and of course the Rhine.

If you love Rhine Romanticism, Königswinter is a must-visit. You can explore the dramatic 12th-century castle ruins at the summit, tour the lavish Drachenburg Palace, and finish with a stroll along the scenic Rhine promenade. It’s the perfect mix of light hiking and heavy history. Pro tip: Take the old-fashioned train up and walk down through the Nachtigallental (Nightingale Valley) for a peaceful forest retreat.

Excellent starting point for cycling trips in Siebengebirge and Eiffel (but keep an eye on timings of the ferries. Most close before 2100.
For Siebengebirge you must be experienced cycler (lots of height meters)

Oh dear... this place may have been great 50+ years ago but...
Oh dear... this place may have been great 50+ years ago but what a let down. Boarded up restaurants, hardly any people. No atmosphere or vibe in the town at all. It felt so sad and depressing - definitely not worth taking the time out to visit.
The train up the mountain was ok but expensive for a short visit - only one bit of the cafe open. Again, all sad and depressing!
