On arrival after a two hour flight and a 6 hour drive, Martin the owner greeted me with a very  warm and enthusiastic welcome which was warm and sincere. I requested an upgrade to a balcony room, of which he offered to show me 3 rooms, each of which were beautiful,  of which I settled for the apartment, overlooking the mountain view. Martin gave a great introduction and insight to the local village and local area and some of the places of interest, including the Bavarian whisky distillery at the rear of the property. The apartment was like a home from home and overall the Hotel was beautifully appointed and spotless. Breakfast was simply outstanding!  Fresh local produce served tapas style winning the day and the croissants or Danish pastries normally served with continental breakfasts replaced with fabulous fresh bread from the village bakery. Breakfast was table service, served efficiently and with a heartfelt enthusiasm. Martin was great at recommending local places to visit and restaurant recommendations were absolutely spot on with each place serving tasty quality Bavarian  dishes. Whatever your reason for visiting Hotel Hubertus, you will most certainly feel at home and have your expectations exceeded by Martin and his great team, but most of all it will be a relaxing and fulfilling experience, and one where you will long to return.

This is a lovely Hotel! Both times I have stayed here I have been very satisfied. I’ve gotten great rooms with view over the mountains or the lake (which is beautiful by the way). The staff is polite and helpful, and the food is amazing! Great breakfast and varied courses in the restaurant. The hotel also has a nice Biergarten just by the lake, which is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal, or just a beer while taking in the stunning view of Schliersee.

Nice location within walking distance from the Schliersee. Very clean and cosy. It has everything that you need :) we loved the local herb tea we even bought some to take away home. Bread service also works great.
