- the wellness area was perfect for what we needed! We spent a lot of time in the quiet room where they were playing relaxing music in the background, it was nice warm and in between we could use the sauna, swim a bit or go outside on the deck if the sun came out - the food was amazing! Big choice for breakfast, you could make your own waffles and they were delicious! You can make your own muesli/porridge and I am sure everybody will find something. The had so many different options of bread/buns. They got pancakes. Ready done made eggs or you could boil your eggs as you like them! As vegetarians we had plenty of options, if you are vegan though the choice would be quite limited! But I could imagine, if you give them a heads up before you arrive, they would arrange something! We had lunch & dinner there as well and it was just fantastic! Huge choice of vegetarian dishes (if you order à la carte) and both of us were full every time which is rarely the case with vegetarian dishes in restaurants! - the staff: everyone was super friendly, thoughtful and we just felt very welcome!

Great location amongst rolling hills and lakes. The hotel is immaculately presented, clean and modern and the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming despite my being attired in fly-spattered motorcycle leathers. The food and wine were excellent and the room was very well appointed and had a great view over the countryside. Unfortunately I arrived too late to sample the spa but it looked very enticing. Overall, excellent value for money considering the facilities on offer and quality of the building, services and food.

A central location close to a major highway ideally located...

A central location close to a major highway ideally located for trips to the westerwald region, many hiking paths, cycling routes and such in the area that are in generally well marked. For those more into shopping the nearby outlet shopping offers a wide range of products at "outlet" pricing including a dedicated Haribo candy store. The town of montabaur has plenty of supermarkets, bakeries (not all open on sunday though) and restaurants (try the wallhala burgers, they're awesome)

Awesome area to visit.

Awesome area to visit. Many places to visit and the Landhotel was absolutely the best. Great service, great employees and easy for us to visit with others who were staying there. Bad Marienberg is a great place to start other adventures to surround areas. Beautiful countryside and walking trails.

Daaden is a quite and small village close to Bitzdorf and...

Daaden is a quite and small village close to Bitzdorf and Seigen. It has good number of retail outlets, which are cheap for your pocket. Public transportation is an issue though, as the village is not on the main trainline (nearest main train station is Bitzdorf 11 km away; average 28 euros by taxi. The village is surrounded by forests and lakes. During the heatwave, temperature there was 35 degrees centigrade, when it was 42 in other cities in the region, hence it is cooler.

A little town on the Rhein, visited just before Christmas so...

A little town on the Rhein, visited just before Christmas so enjoyed the little Christmas market. Stayed at the Little Britain hotel, a taxi ride into the hills. Hotel exceptional. Linz itself quite small with nice boutique shops. It was a short afternoon visit but I´m sure lovely in the summer time. The train station a short walk from the centre. Trains regular and convenient for travelling from major cities in the region, also a little local train runs which takes you up into the hills, stopping conveniently at a brewery and restaurant en-route and with a final stop at the Little Britain hotel. Particularly suitable for walkers. I would visit again,

Everything you need, groceries stores and small cosy town centres with restaurants, a large outlet shopping mall and an excellent region for hiking! Easily accessible via highway and a short trip away from Koblenz or a little longer drive to Frankfurt. Can really recommend Walhalla Burgers if you like specialty/Home made Hamburgers

An old picturesque German town with centuries of history.

An old picturesque German town with centuries of history. Very nice old time and interesting shops. With the closeness to the river Rhein, it has an history of extreme floodings. Check out the markings on the walls with how high the water has risen during different years. I even saw an "escape door" on the second floor to be used during flooding!

Despite being a highway hotel, the hotel was very quiet, so...

Despite being a highway hotel, the hotel was very quiet, so we got a good night's rest. The room was very clean and spacious. The beds were good and there were enough towels. If you are travelling longer distances, I would definitely recommend the hotel for a stopover.
