Yes, the room has a balcony with a great view of the tallest building in Ecuador! The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well. Very secure building, very helpful staff. Room had coffee, sugar and tea. Some reviewers complain it's loud, you are staying right on the boardwalk, hello! If techno at 2am is going to bother you look further south on the malecon where there are less restaurants. Excellent value for an apartment as opposed to a hotel. Protips: unlike the rest of Ecuador, all of the restaurants on the malecon do not include IVA/tax in their prices! That 15%+ 10% service charge they all add on makes your items 25% more than they are on the menu, be careful! I ate out for every meal, most of the restaurants are pretty mediocre honestly and are more about the drinks than the food. I would highly suggest Negroni which is located on the top floor of said tallest building in Ecuador!! Easily the best sushi I've had in Ecuador, and comes in about the same price as a normal run of the mill sushi spot in the States, except more fish, better presentation and service, and the view is unreal!!! The Takura is a great value. Don't miss it, you will spend similar amount for very mediocre food at majority of the restaurants at ground level.
