It was very well within walking distance to old city and public transportation. Breakfast was rich and tasty, room was quiet, cozy and offered an exceptionally good sleep. We had a very pleasant stay. The receptionist was incredibly polite and spoke excellent English, which made the check in process seamless. The rooms were nice and the spa area was exceptional, offering a range of facilities such as a steam room, a salt sauna, saunas set at 95 and 70 degrees, a jacuzzi and an outdoor swimming pool - which is amazing in winter! A thoughtful bonus was the availability of drinking water in the spa area. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of choices served in a beautifully decorated space featuring a perfect Christmas tree. Outside, the park area was magical, adorned with festive Christmas light decorations, including a Christmas carriage, planets, bunnies and more. Overall a fantastic experience - highly recommend!

The best part of hotel is the spa and waterpark, and while the hotel itself has definitive flaws, spa and waterpark easily make it worth to visit, if you value those things. Also the "flaws" are nothing horrible, just a bit subpar, but totally ok.
Admission to spa is usually included and for waterpark you need to pay separately, but its very cheap for hotel guests (we payed 35 € extra for a whole long weekend for waterpark access, for 2 adults and 1 kid).
Spa has like million different kinds of saunas, few different pools, jacuzzis and all that stuff. Waterpark has several slides. Most interesting activities there require kids to be at least 120cm high, though.

There are lots of great things to do in Tallinn.
There are lots of great things to do in Tallinn. They have a Ferris wheel on top of a shopping center that offers a view of the entire city. The view in the autumn is truly beautiful. I want to go back again, as I absolutely loved this city.

It is a small place to visit, unless you are here to sit on the beach in summer a couple of days is plenty to look around the town, walk through the parks and have a Spa day. I went to Viiking Spa Hotel for mine and thoroughly enjoyed my 3 hours.

Rakvere is where my mother went to high school.
Rakvere is where my mother went to high school. Later the rest of her family (mother and sister) moved there to live. I consider it my home town away from my home town. Not only does it have great permanent attractions, like the 800-year-old castle with actors recreating life 500 years ago, but it has great occasional events. Like a punk rock festival every year. One time I was there, I unexpectedly came upon a street organ festival and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with them. It has great places to eat with a variety of cuisines, from local to Caucasian and Asian (including sushi) and friendly, comfortable places to stay in between the eating, music and medieval life. It's small enough to get around on foot, but there are lots of buses too. You are sure to enjoy it!

THere was a music festival in Narva so the whole town was full of events and it was really pleasant. The promenade by the river is fantastic between the NArva Castle and RoRo club. Boat trip to Narva-Jõesuu is a must with a lunch in Franzia, in Narva-Jõesuu.
