Everyone welcomed me warmly when I walked in. “KR” stands for “Kareem”, which is the hotel's full name - looking for the full name instead would be easier to locate. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly! Mahmoud, a wonderful young man, serves you with his heart. Another young man - I can’t spell his name, but he has green eyes- beautiful- you will easily recognize him, not because of his red hair and green eyes, but also his bright smile. Overall, my stay there was great! Egypt has the nicest people, and KR has been a highlight of my experience. I really love them and recommend this place to you!

Our stay here was great. The hotel probably has the best location on the West Bank. It is within walking distance from the ferry. The view from the upstairs restaurant is fabulous. The breakfast was filling with good choices like, falafel, beans, yogurt, fruit, an assortment of cheeses, cereal, toast, sweets, and a hot omelette. I read in one review where someone said the breakfast room wasn't nice, I am including pictures to show you that it really is a lovely, well equipped room. It doesn't have the view of the restaurant, but if you want the view, you can go upstairs to the roof terrace. The pool was heated and we used it several times, the lounge chairs on the upper deck are great for tanning. And the number one thing was the staff. Always smiling, always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. No one gave us a hard sell for tours, which we appreciated. The room was air-conditioned with a nice balcony. We had a refrigerator and they provided us with a kettle for the room when asked. I would happily stay here again if I was coming back to the West Bank.

I had a wonderful stay at Steigenberger Aschti in Luxor. From the moment I arrived, the staff were extremely welcoming and professional. I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room to a Nile view, which made the experience even more special. Waking up to the view of the river was absolutely beautiful. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor.

Oasis Hotel is in a quiet side street 5 minutes walking from Luxor temple, it’s extremely good value for the money, staff is extremely kind and helpful with organising tours and taxis without overcharging. The hotel is basic but very clean, the rooms are fairly dark but very quiet, they have AC and vans. In the morning I always went to the roof where there are chairs and a balcony and you can watch the balloons over the West Bank, very peaceful.

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Dream. The owner is lovely and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. The shower is hot with great water pressure. The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. Its location on the west bank allowed for a quiet stay. It was about a 10 minute walk to the ferry if you wanted to get into Luxor. We’d stay here again.

Very nice and hospitable place right by the Nile on Luxor's west bank. Mohamed and his family who run this place are super nice and helpful about everything. They picked us up from the bus stop, helped organize a driver for a hassle free tour of the amazing sights and arranged on time pickup tp get us to the airport in the morning. Our entire family had an awesome and unforgettable experience. Many thanks.

I was supposed to go to the touristic areas but found solace in just relaxing and enjoying the walks around the West Bank. I will probably go back to Luxor and do all that in the near future but I was more than happy in my own bubble and doing my own thing. The attention can be overwhelming as a tourist but I tended not to interact much and walk away if I felt I was going to be pressured into anything. The hospitality is wonderful and the people kind. Luxor is magical ✨️ 😍 💖....

Ancient part of Luxor is amazing.

Ancient part of Luxor is amazing. Definitely worth visiting and should be must when visiting Egypt. East bank is walkable, but West bank sightseeing must be done in organized tours or by a private shuttle/taxi. One thing that bothers a bit are people that are offering everything (fellucca, horse ride, taxi ride photos, souvenirs, excursions). Problem is almost everyone you see in the street will approach you and sometimes you need time to get rid of them. It is not huge problem, but you can't have a relaxed mind all the time. It's a part of culture, but it is much more emphasized than in Hurghada for example.
