Amazing staff, always smiling and very helpful. Breakfast had a great choice of cold produce and freshly cooked eggs and bacon. Loved the relaxed feel to the hotel and having free coffee and tea on offer was a great treat. We had an evening meal after a very wet day out at the Alhambra Palace and this was very good too. Only a short walk into the shops and restaurants. Awesome shower!!! We would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

FAQs about hotels in Andalucía

Pulsating with History and Tradition

Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.

Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.

Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.

You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.

Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.

Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Great location, beautiful ground and the stuff is exceptional. This was our 1st time visiting Mojacar, and we loved it. All the amenities you need are right here in this resort. The prices are a little higher, but you can always leave the hotel and do your shopping elsewhere. The pizzeria is one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The breakfast is great, so much to choose from. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great resort! The facilities on the property are great. The staff are absolutely incredible, they are super efficient and very friendly. The pool is amazing and quite big considering how busy it gets. We chose the room with the pool and sea view which is best located for a great view of the sunset. We also booked the full board option which is great option as the meals are quite expensive.

It's a very walkable city, but invest in a map as the streets in the old town are a maze - everytime we went out (and that was with a map purchased at the end of day 1) we got lost. I reckon we nearly doubled the distance we "should" have walked as a result! Bring comfortable walking shoes as you'll need them. Book the Real Alcazar in advance - and note that it's free entry on Mondays (with reservation). There are excellent train/bus connections - I strongly suggest a visit to Cordoba. It's a beautiful city (maybe a mini-Seville (but better)??) with the amazing Mezquita. One thing we really didn't like was the placement of bread and olives on the table with the suggestion that was a service charge. We have no idea if you can just say no and they don't charge you, but we never left tips in any restaurants as a result. Do check around for prices in restaurants/cafes/bars/souvenir shops - there are some real tourist traps in the city. We aimed for places where it appeared that the owners knew the clients, giving us the impression that these were local places. Unless you're really, and I mean really, into Flamenco, I'd not devote much time to Triana, although a walk along the river is very pleasant and the views of the cathedral from there are amazing. We were there for 5 days, leaving for Valencia on the 26th of December and it was busy! Schedule your visit there carefully - it's far too hot in the summer (end of June to start of October), and Easter is a nightmare.

I arrived on New Years day so the town was dead and the weather wasn't great so I didn't experiene Cordoba at its best. I'd imagine its magical in the old town from March on, The od town is quie extensive and definetly wort staying for three or four days. It really comes alive in the evenings I only discovered the Equestrian Centre while leaving Cordoba, I look forward to returning just for that

Beautiful city but the old town is perfect for sightseeing, walking around the cobbled streets and enjoying traditional sherry tasting and tapas. I would highly recommend the Tabanco El Pasaje bar. It is very small and quirky with a very warm welcome with fantastic authentic flamenco every day - do not miss this. I would also recommend Las Banderillas for an authentic Spanish bar with a warm welcome for sherry and tapas. Unfortunatley, I would not recommend La kastiza. We went to eat on a weekend night, we found a table outside - yes it was exceptionally busy but numerous Spanish customers were seated after us and they were served before us so we decided to leave and eat elswhere. The dancing horses at the equestrian school were breathtaking. A good few hours walking around the house, museum, stables where you can interact with some of the horses and of course the show! Tio Pepe is another must, fantastic guide and you learn a lot about the history of Tio Pepe and how they make the different flavours. The autograph museum is brilliant & the shop prices are actually really good value. If you want to hire a motorbike or moped, I would highly recommend GCBIKERENTAL - very modern bikes at a reasonable price and the owners are very nice and helpful. It is only approximately a 20 minute drive from Jerez airport to the old town and to the Circuito de Jerez from the old town it is also only approximately 20 minutes. If you like culture, tapas, sherry and winter sun - this is the place to visit.

We visited and skied in Pradollano during peak season. It was a very enjoyable and interesting experience, although there was not a great deal of snow during our visit we still managed to enjoy our time there during the weekdays. The weekends look particularly busy so if you don’t like a very crowded ski field might be best to avoid the weekends.
