It was really a good place to stay if you want to reveal some beauties of the Basque country, not only Bilbao. 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, 15 minutes by metro to San Mames bus station, close to the metro station Areeta (2 minutes walk), a lot of bars and restaurants around full mainly of local people. Close to the Biskaia Bridge. Accomodation easy to find,very clean, enough space, air conditioned, late check in possible. We did not have windows to the street which was appreaciated, the other side might be more noisy during night

This is an excellent hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed at. The staff was professional, knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly. The rooms were perfect size, impeccable and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, excellent variety and quality. The attendants were solicitous and friendly… the views os Bilbao from almost every space were gorgeous, I can't say enough good things about this hotel, highly recommend it and will absolutely return to it on my next visit to the Basque Country,

Out of all the hotels I stayed in while visiting the Basque Country, this hotel was the best one! I would without a doubt come back and stay in the same room we booked. Everyone was friendly; they accommodated us with a parking spot last minute. It was clean and the room was much bigger than I anticipated. The view was fantastic and near a major beach and hiking trails. The other beach was about a 25-30 minute walk but it was perfectly fine. The breakfast was great and the accommodation was comfortable.

The location is a big highlight of the property. There are coastal walking trails, a park and a picturesque beach nearby. On top of that the apartment itself is wonderful. The apartment has top quality appliances so cooking meals is easy as well all the furniture is modern. Every thing is well thought out and the attention to detail is phenomenal. Fernando was easy to contact and he had a lot of great suggestions. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone visiting Bermeo and the Basque Country.

We were just looking for a place to stay close to the airport before flying home after a road trip around Basque country - and found this little gem of a hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean, modern and central. The staff were fantastic -so pleasant, helpful and attentive. We had dinner there twice - food & service were excellent on both occasions. Nice promenade and beach in Plentzia and a good base to explore surrounding area. Also train/metro stop for Bilbao is close to hotel.

The house and apartments are perfectly equipped and designed with eye for detail. Breakfasts were delicious and on request vegan & vegetarian options were provided. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the location was ideal! One can both just stay and enjoy surrounding greenery, silence and calming views or explore Basque Country and Bilbao that is just a few minutes away. All in all, I loved the place and definitely want to come back in the future.

The location in the small town of Azpeitia was ideal for us to discover the Basque Country. Bilbao and San Sebastián are easy to reach by car. The apartment as such is located in a small pedestrian street, with restaurants, bars and shops nearby. It is decorated with a lot of taste and the kitchen is well equipped. And, yes, we can confirm that the beds are really comfortable. The communication with the host was very easy and pleasant. Thank you!

We spent three nights in this hotel before traveling through Basque Country by car. It was a great choice for sightseeing Bilbao on foot. All the main points and places were really close, even the Athletic stadium. :) Everything in the hotel was OK, including very nice staff. We reached the hotel around 11:30, totally exhausted after the night without any sleep, and we got our room in 10 minutes! Highly recommended!

The hotel is tucked away in a beautiful area just outside of Bermeo. It feels tranquil, farms and animals nearby, a view of the ocean and pine forests. the people who run the hotel are absolutely lovely—they make sure you are happy and comfortable and enjoying yourself. It’s impossible not to enjoy yourself here. a wonderful location for exploring basque country or just having a relaxing getaway in the countryside.

Located just out of the centre of Lekeitio, w/in easy walking distance of the beautiful harbour, AND very close to one of the best restaurants in all of the Basque Country! Room was again very comfortable, in fact, they upgraded us to a suite. Very cozy bar and casual eating place around a roaring open fire. Staff were very helpful, especially when my partner needed help negotiating a parking ticket!

The apartment is lovely decorated and comes with a lot of appliances. In special I would like to mention the washing machine. I came here for cycling in the Basque country, so a washing machine really came in handy. The owners respond super fast through WhatsApp and the Booking app. They speak fluently English and are very sweet. This apartment is not the cheapest on the market, but it has great value for money.

Though the apartment is on 4th floor, it offers an excellent holiday place away from home; the kitchen is well equipped, has comfortable beds which can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. The beach is just a stone’s throw from the apartment and groceries for daily stuff within a walking distance. The communication with the host was wonderful- given us plenty of tips what to explore in the Basque Country.

We liked everything. Seriously. The location is amazing, there is no place closer to the beach than this one. You can hear the waves crashing on the beach and welcome the sunrise with surfers. We received a lot of useful information prior to the arrival so we already felt like we are coming to a familiar place. If we return to Basque Country, it will be a pleasure to stay at this apartment again.

We couldn't be happier with our stay at Casa Rural Barazar. The location is ideal, close to San Sebastián and many other beautiful places in the Basque Country. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful with recommendations and directions. The place is well maintained, comfortable and very clean. If we ever come back to the Basque Country, we will be staying at Casa Rural Barazar again.

Wonderful hosts, very warm, welcoming and helpful. We received great tips about visiting the Basque Country, the country, language and also about great places to eat. Excellent restaurant / pintxos bar next door. Walking distance to the beach and near to the city centre. Nice breakfast available on demand. There was no self-parking garage, but the valet service was very prompt.

This hotel has incredible views in a natural environment of forests and very close to the big cities of the Basque Country like Bilbao or Vitoria.. Good breakfast and fantastic dinner with options of vegetables from hotel's garden, fish or meat. The room is spacious, comfortable, large bed and fantastic view of the natural park. Very good and close service from the owners.

We were on a trip of the Basque Country and Asturias this was by far the best hotel we stayed at on our trip. It is recently refurbished, the rooms were spotless clean, spacious and beautiful with tasteful fittings and furniture. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on. I would recommend to anyone traveling to Vitoria. Truly an excellent stay!

Everything was perfect, superb premises and very helpful staff. Meals were fantastic, breakfast superb and were we well looked after duing meals. I would love to go there again. The local area I did not visit except a few local bars and cafes, however the hotel is in central Basque Country so everywhere is reachable with one good base.

Great apartment for exploring Basque country. Excellent fit for family with 2 kids. Very well equipped with all necessary kitchenware. We visited Azpeitia during festive week and parking car required some creativity. Be prepared to be waken up by marching musicians along old city at 9am on Sunday. It was fun though.

The hotel is on a great location with spacious rooms and clean environment. The breakfast is recommended, it's full of quality ingredients and amazing tastes. Staff is very nice and helpful. Highly recommended if you are staying in the capital of Euskadi / Basque Country.
