The hotel is just a minute walking away from some beautiful beaches, the staff is really friendly, and also the city centre can be reached very easily with one of the many buses. It was fantastic staying here for a weekend and I'd do it again.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor pool with a furnished terrace, Hotel Cuevas is located on a rustic building with modern décor and that is nestled in the picturesque village of Santillana del Mar. Everything was great and beautiful: room with jacuzzi, breakfast, garden, library with interesting art and travel books. Staff was really helpful and friendly. Hotel Cuevas even has Electric bikes for a short-time use, it was nice to ride the bikes up to the Altamira museum. We enjoyed every minute of our stay!

The views were amazing, specially the sunset which you could enjoy with a good glass of wine from the hotel bar. The hosts Eduardo and Silvia were awesome, always happy to help and recommend new places to visit, eat, etc. They will treat you like family. I also would highly recommend the activities they have at the hotel such as yoga, surf or paddle surf. Overall it has been an amazing week and we were able to get to know not only main Cantabria highlights but also Ajo surroundings, which were a truly discovery! We cannot wait to come back!
