Could enjoy to stay though the whole year.

The location is amazing, Extremadura is an undiscovered jewel! Such a beautiful sky at night, full of stars and completely surrounded by nature. You wake up with birds chirping and the calming sound of the river, such an incredible experience overall. Already looking forward to go again. The hotel is fairly new, it opened last august. We fell in love with this chain of hotels “Hospedería de Extremadura” starting from this one located in Hervás :) Beautiful building (it was a convent and hospital), big room, huge parking, close to town and several trekking routes, helpful staff! Most importantly, super pet-friendly! With a supplement we received a hearty kit for our dog ;)

When we were staying in the hotel, my husband became very ill. All the staff were exceptional. One member stayed with me as the paramedics arrived. Everyone was kind to me, and helped me navigate doctors/ hospitals etc. One member drove us in the Hotel vehicle to the hospital, and spoke to the Doctor on our behalf. We found the service outstanding (and sadly we know this is unlikely to be the same in England). Please pass this message on , and send our grateful thanks.

The location of the hotel is great - walking distance into the wonderful town of Trujillo and with easy access to main roads. The staff are friendly and helpful although very little English spoken. We had two evening meals there which were fine although showing the usual Spanish absence of vegetables (chips with everything). The room was adequate although the bathroom could do with some work.
