We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Avanti Hotel. From the very first moment, the check-in experience was smooth, warm, and extremely welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety and high-quality options every morning. One of the biggest highlights is the beach right in front of the hotel – you truly couldn’t ask for a better setting. The location is perfect, right in the center of everything, making it easy to explore the area. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel in the village. Staying here is an experience in itself. The hotel has a long and rich history, which adds so much character and charm to the entire stay. We would highly recommend it and would love to return!

FAQs about hotels in Fuerteventura

Ride its Warm Wave

With streches of long, sandy beaches and a great setting for watersports, Fuerteventura has established itself as a year-round beach holiday destination.

Set across the Atlantic from Lobos Island and Lanzarote beyond, Corralejo is one of the most popular Fuerteventura resorts. Its long sand dunes are favoured by families, while offshore the waves are great for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Surfing is also great here and at El Cotillo, a fishing village around the coast.

Although Fuerteventura is the 2nd largest of the Canary Islands, its landscape is largely unspoilt, meaning that you will find most Fuerteventura hotels by the beach. But the inland towns of La Oliva and Betancuria with traditional windmills set amid undulating, volcanic scenery offer pleasant sights away from the beach. The island’s highest point is Mount Jandia, in its own natural park in the south.

At its feet is the long beach connecting Morro Jable and Jandia, while to the north Costa Calma is a relaxed resort that certainly lives up to its name. Just south of El Mattoral Airport are Costa de Antigua and Costa Caleta de Fuste, home to a castle and a good number of 5-star Fuerteventura hotels on Booking.com. On the opposite side of the airport is the capital Puerto del Rosario, starting point for ferries to the other Canaries.

The restaurant's work and the quality of the food are excellent. We had all kinds of seafood, and there was a wide variety of desserts, meat, fish, and vegetables. The staff works flawlessly—fast and efficiently. The bungalows are clean; ours had been recently renovated. The cleaning staff came every other day, changing even the bed linen. The work of the entire staff is outstanding. The hotel's security is also good. The bar operates efficiently, quickly, and with high quality. We all understand that this is not a five-star hotel, but for a three-star hotel, everything is maintained at a high level. The hotel is not very far from the ocean—just a 15-minute walk. The location is quite nice, with a beautiful ocean view. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area, and there’s a supermarket nearby for convenience. Additionally, there’s a bus stop about a 10-minute walk away, with buses heading to the airport and other towns on Fuerteventura.

The complex was huge and well organized, with three distinct pool areas, three restaurants and three lounge / bars. The beachside is just attached to the facilities and can be easily accessed from the resort. Staff was extremely friendly and nice, always dropping a smile or a nice word to my little daughter. Kid's beds are available in the room upon request. Convenient free parking area in the surroundings, the facility is easily reachable by car.

Very clean and tidy, perfect for what we needed, great location right next to the harbor, as we go there for fishing this is perfect for us. Spacious room overlooking the pool, quite a quiet hotel (not that I'm complaining) but is January at the end of the day. Might be a bit more lively in the summer months.

Corralejo completely stole our hearts 🌊☀️

Corralejo completely stole our hearts 🌊☀️ What an incredible city, vibrant, full of life, beautiful beaches, amazing energy, and that perfect mix of relaxation and fun. Every day felt special, whether walking around the marina, watching the sunsets, exploring the dunes, or simply enjoying the atmosphere around the town. One thing that genuinely surprised us was how fantastic the food scene is, especially the Italian restaurants. Some of the best Italian food we’ve had outside of Italy, fresh ingredients, cozy places, and such a lively atmosphere everywhere. Corralejo has a unique charm that instantly makes you feel relaxed and happy. The weather, the ocean, the people, the colors of the island… everything makes you want to stay longer. We truly fell in love with Fuerteventura and Corralejo became one of those places that stays with you even after you leave. Already dreaming about coming back 🌴❤️

The Boardwalk is fantastic, I could walk up the steps through the sister apartments at Garden & Sea Lodging by Livvo. There is a good variety of Restuarants down at the sea front. We had lovely meals at Leos, Simons Kitchen and Laja De Moro Jable all good experiences. The Euro Spar has everything you need. The Strip along the Av Del Saladar has great shops and Mini markets. I visited Ajuy Caves for a Day trip, it was a lovely quiet area. Car hire from Riesen was a very efficient experience.

The area is quiet but if you like walking there are lots of nice paths in the area to walk. I found the restaurants especially the Asia restaurant very reasonably priced and the food tasty and plentiful. There is a pizza place behind the petrol station which is great for sit in and take out service. The beach is a lovely walk past two spar shops and is on a hill. There is no toe test required for the sea (early May) and is shallow quite a way out. Lovely picturesque area for a relaxing holiday. Lots of walking so take comfortable shoes.

For me it was the best part of the island, I travelled around the island and the weather and the natural beaches of this location were the most beautiful, tranquil with a romantic, relaxing atmosphere. I visited this area in April so the beaches were very quiet, with not many people there. There are cafes, bars in some of the beaches. I highly recomend this area.

We have seen Cotillo change over 30 years but it still retains its natural beauty & laid back charm. The beaches & landscape are just amazing. Water is clean & swimming is perfect. Sunsets are beautiful. Walking around the town is easy; charming cafe’s & family bars/restaurants to stop at, chat or just take in the views. There are no noisy bars, nightclubs or late night transport. If that’s what you’re after it’s probably not for you.

Puerto del Rosario is authentic and not inundated with tourists. There are lovely bars and restaurants near the port and in the town centre. . It is a great base to explore the island and is just 15 minutes away from the airport on public transport. A car seems to be essential though to visit nearby towns in the North (eg: El Cotillo, Corralejo, Puerto Lajas) and the Salt museum Salinas del carmen. The South of the island is a 90 minute-drive, through amazing landscapes.

I would say the resort of Costa De Antigua is a bit run down without a great deal to do. Three slightly ropey bars , The Crazy Goat , Stoners , and Volvemead all in a row , Bennys sports bar and a couple of restaurants a bit further down. I can recommend Min Sun on the corner however. Quite a lot of broken glass , rubbish , tracts of land for sale and unfinished buildings. If going self catering the nearest supermarkets are around a mile away entailing a walk across the rocky landscape and then thru an industrial estate. A car is a must unless you’re relatively fit I feel. Costa De Antigua doesn’t have its own usable beaches The 2 mile walk to the livelier Caleta De Fuste and it’s beach , is pleasant once past the crumbling and abandoned water park. I’d recommend Costa De Antigua as a base only , and either hire a car or take taxis - which I believe are €4/5 to the nearest life

The village has a surfer vibe due its location and close proximity (by road) to the surfing beaches to the east and west in this part of Fuerteventura. It has several cafes and bars plus a pharmacy and a new HippoDino supermarket. Its also known for its arts and crafts and that's reflected in the number of shops and its Saturday arts and craft market which was worth a stroll round. Most of the residential properties are typical single story accommodation with what feels like a positive mix of local residents and holiday makers.
