Albelda is a good choice to stay for a short trip on the La Rioja wine route. It is a short drive to Logrono- where you can get your fill of Pintxos and vino! The village itself is a quiet sleepy one- but with very picturesque countryside. On the whole, a good location to sty a night or two.

happy city. it is not pointed clearly on all web sites, that the wine festival is mainly for local- La Rioja- people. I should have cut my stay to- 1-2 and mainly on san mathue (21/9/2016) day and live the city to continu on my Camino Santiago pilgrim.

Haro the location of the oldest wineries in Rioja - Take the time to visit at least 2 a day. Book ahead so you can do the tours. La RIoja, Alta and R. Lopez Heredia are the best ones the most wines tasted 4 or 5. But for an interesting tasting go to Martinez Lacuesta and ask for a tasting of the Vermouth which is amazing. Muga is the youngest and not one of the originals but a solid tour. At CUNE (CVNE) and Muga they give you the glass as a part of the tour but skimp on the tastings.

What a wonderful apartment in the perfect location in the fantastic town of Haro in La Rioja. Victor met us when we arrived and was so helpful with recommendations of places to visit and restaurants to eat at, and they were perfect recommendations. We had such a great time that we extended our stay for an extra night. The apartment for right in the centre of town, but in a quiet spot. Easy to walk to the wineries and all of the bars and restaurants. It was clean and cool. We loved it! We would definitely stay again.

We loved it here. I believe this was once a 16th century residence. The room was amazing. Plenty of room. The views from the windows just beautiful. We stayed 2 nights during our 3-week visit to Spain. Location is absolutely perfect for touring bodegas in La Rioja region. Their breakfast was perfect. We did have dinner one evening - excellent. We had a car and was able to park on site. All compliments. We highly recommend and will stay again if we ever return to this area of Spain.
