During our stay we only ate breakfasts, lunches & dinners at Lani's Gourmet Restaurant - all excellent. Access to beach was very good and no traffic noise. All staff were warm and welcoming "a family". We made use of the beauty salon, staff were considerate to our needs, relaxed ambiance, creating a fully pleasurable experience.

Rooms were really quiet and kept very clean. Had great view of the beach and sea. Staff were excellent especially Lito on the reception who assisted us to contact the Town Hall regarding a Tablet we lost at Airport on a previous visit to the island. We are definitely going to re-book for next year. Thanks to you all for a great experience.

Absolutely fabulous hotel, staff cannot do enough for you and the facilities are stunning. Rooms are huge and have everything you could possibly need including luxury toiletries, mini bar, two tv's and bluetooth speakers. Only a short walk or taxi journey to the seafront so in an ideal location.

The Island Out of This Planet

Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. We love Puerto del Carmen , we love the sea front and the choice of bars and restaurants . There is a good choice of buses to get around the island ,and very reasonably charged . We have stayed at different areas of Carmen and loved our stays .

Playa Blanca has a beautiful coastline and it’s a convenient base, but the vibe wasn’t for me. During my stay it often felt dominated by loud, drunk behaviour, which made it less relaxing than I expected. That said, Lanzarote itself is absolutely stunning — the landscapes are unique, and the island has amazing places to explore. I would still recommend visiting Lanzarote, but I’d personally choose a quieter area next time. We were from 30th of December for 6 nights

Costa Teguise is our favourite area of Lanzarote, it has the right balance of restaurants, bars, shops and hotel/apartment resorts. The whole area feels safe and the seaside walk is just wonderful, both during the day and at night.

Lovely Place and clean.

Lovely Place and clean. Nice walks and board walks etc all good. Plenty of cruise ships come and go but they didn't bother us on our stay. Not a big city but its got all you need but as I say to get to the other many places to see on the Island a car is definitely needed. OH and do not pay for fuel up front at the car rental office as its a scam .

Tías is a quaint little village with everything you need.

Tías is a quaint little village with everything you need. The supermarket Dino is well stocked, there is a greengrocers, several small bars tapas restaurant and takeaways. And fantastic coffee shop/bakery. The only not very nice restaurant was L'ermita. They need some lessons in manners and customer service however next door the small Spanish tapas bar of Arrayate un Millo makes up for it, even though they don't speak any English the service and food was excellent.

Predominantly residential area, so not noisy. Don't go here if you want the bright lights and nightlife! Plenty of lovely (& good value!) restaurants and bars. Lovely seafront and good beaches (no sun loungers, etc). Large shopping center with large supermarket (so ideal for self-catering). Close to the airport so you hear the planes, but not a problem as they don't fly at night. Cheapest taxi ride from the airport that you'll get!

In love. Will definitely come back. To me it was the place with the most soul. Also surfers are a cool subculture, free spirit you can feel it. The appreciation for nature is big, the majestic landscape takes your breath away and it is a humbling experience. You can just stare at the waves for hours and be in awe by the sheer and raw power and beauty of nature. We loved it. We ate and drank a lot at La Mar cafe (best vegan burger) and it has a really cool vibe with good music. Beach bar has the best coffee and smoothies and also food. Everything is there, restaurants, shops, the beach and still if you have a rented car you can get anywhere on the island in 30 minutes. We had a bit of bad luck with the weather during our stay as it was mostly cloudy, raining and very windy due to storm Francis. Next time we will be here at a better time and I will try surfing.

Where we stayed in Yaiza was very quiet. A great location for a large group like ours but a must is to have a hire car to enable you to travel freely in and out of more lively areas around the island.

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-...

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.

Puerto Calero is a lovely small port with great bars and...

Puerto Calero is a lovely small port with great bars and eateries, it is a little quieter and dare I say, a bit more ‘up market’ than most of the other resorts in Lanzarote but this is what we like the most about it. It is well positioned for exploring the rest of the island with a good local road network so driving is very easy, I would 100% recommend trying this area for a holiday.
