The Finca is conveniently situated just a 5-minute drive from Puerto del Carmen, offering both proximity and the serene coziness of a remote getaway. The food was exceptional, the service incredibly welcoming, and the terrace views are simply unparalleled! We're grateful for the hospitality and will definitely return on our next trip to Lanzarote. * Also if you opt in for dinners, they cook amazing!

FAQs about hotels on Lanzarote

The Island Out of This Planet

Volcanic Lanzarote, one of the Spanish Canary Islands, features the dramatic landscapes of the Timanfaya National Park and the lush beaches of Papagayo and Blanco. Its out-of-this-world appearance, due to volcanic eruptions of the 18th and 19th centuries, earns Lanzarote a well-deserved spot in the sci-fi film sets list.

The island has the longest volcanic submerged tunnel in the world (1,500 metres), the Tunnel de la Atlantida, which boasts the amazing Cueva de los Verdes lava tube with walls illuminated by coloured lights.

Lanzarote has 213 km of coastline, most of which is rocky and complements perfectly the island’s 2 mountain ranges of Famara and Ajaches. Throw the El Jable desert into the mix and you have one fascinating holiday destination!

With a wide choice of watersports, including scuba diving, parasailing and canoeing, you never run out of things to do. Adventurous types can enjoy a submarine trip or visit the Rancho Texas, a Wild West-themed park.

And don’t forget about the local cuisine, including unique mojo verde or picon sauces and papas arrugadas - a dish of cooked unpeeled potatoes cooked, baked dry afterwards and served with a mojo.

Whichever you choose from the range of Lanzarote’s apartments, hotels or resorts, Booking.com has over 330 properties to suit every taste.

Beautiful design with an outdoor pool , quiet and lots of outdoor furniture . The bakery on the premises makes the best rolls . Continental Breakfast was great but perhaps change the ham and cheese to some other type of cold cuts on a second day . The bbq meat order was fantastic , great value and very tasty meat .

Safe, friendly resort, with wonderful beaches.

Safe, friendly resort, with wonderful beaches. Very well kept public areas, and the flowers and cactus are amazing. Wide range of restaurants and cuisine available- you would be very picky if you couldn't find something that you liked. If you get fed up with each there are a wide range of organised trips you other parts of the island or you can hire bikes or a car very easily and explore on your own. The buses are brilliant as well, but cash is king on these! The only place we visited (hired a car)that we felt was expensive and rushed, where the volcanoes in the national parc, 30€ per adult payable only in cash. You get just as good a view by driving around the area. Which is a shame as the the colours and structures are amazing

We have visited Playa Blanca on many occasions when we have gone to Lanzarote but this was the first time we have actually stayed in Playa Blanca , we only go around the marina area of this resort and it has been improved with the new plaza area , there are new restaurants and a very nice cocktail bar for a enjoyable drink before choosing where to eat on a evening. There are still nice places to eat and drink around the marina itself , we always enjoy coffee and cake at Natur , lunch at Larnies and evening meal at Mumbai Spice.

If you really want to enjoy the typical old town in Lanzarote, you have to visit the Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise. It was designed by Cesar Manrique and it is full of bars and terraces. Really nice. The promenade from Las Maretas to the Beach of Las Cucharas is the best walking paths in the island. You can walk your dog, bike or jog in front of the sea. No cars and no noise.

Lovely Place and clean.

Lovely Place and clean. Nice walks and board walks etc all good. Plenty of cruise ships come and go but they didn't bother us on our stay. Not a big city but its got all you need but as I say to get to the other many places to see on the Island a car is definitely needed. OH and do not pay for fuel up front at the car rental office as its a scam .

Predominantly residential area, so not noisy. Don't go here if you want the bright lights and nightlife! Plenty of lovely (& good value!) restaurants and bars. Lovely seafront and good beaches (no sun loungers, etc). Large shopping center with large supermarket (so ideal for self-catering). Close to the airport so you hear the planes, but not a problem as they don't fly at night. Cheapest taxi ride from the airport that you'll get!

Tías is a quaint little village with everything you need. The supermarket Dino is well stocked, there is a greengrocers, several small bars tapas restaurant and takeaways. And fantastic coffee shop/bakery. The only not very nice restaurant was L'ermita. They need some lessons in manners and customer service however next door the small Spanish tapas bar of Arrayate un Millo makes up for it, even though they don't speak any English the service and food was excellent.

In love. Will definitely come back.

In love. Will definitely come back. To me it was the place with the most soul. Also surfers are a cool subculture, free spirit you can feel it. The appreciation for nature is big, the majestic landscape takes your breath away and it is a humbling experience. You can just stare at the waves for hours and be in awe by the sheer and raw power and beauty of nature. We loved it. We ate and drank a lot at La Mar cafe (best vegan burger) and it has a really cool vibe with good music. Beach bar has the best coffee and smoothies and also food. Everything is there, restaurants, shops, the beach and still if you have a rented car you can get anywhere on the island in 30 minutes. We had a bit of bad luck with the weather during our stay as it was mostly cloudy, raining and very windy due to storm Francis. Next time we will be here at a better time and I will try surfing.

I was there in early March, and it did feel a bit off-seasony and quiet. Some of the cafes I had wanted to try were closed until the end of March. Still, a small handful of good restaurants, and easy access by road to the other parts of the island, so it was a good base to explore from. I recommend Ikarus for fresh fish, Boutique del pan-San Rafael for coffee, and the Creperia for cheap/cheerful tapas and drinks outside with music. I found the locals all very friendly.

Puerto Calero is a lovely small port with great bars and eateries, it is a little quieter and dare I say, a bit more ‘up market’ than most of the other resorts in Lanzarote but this is what we like the most about it. It is well positioned for exploring the rest of the island with a good local road network so driving is very easy, I would 100% recommend trying this area for a holiday.
