This hotel is ideally located to explore the centre of Troyes on foot, and there is sufficient parking space if you come by car. We would like to extend our special thanks to Sébastien, who helped us with everything and gave us the warmest welcome imaginable. Staff at reception and at the bar were also extremely professional. Our bedroom was not only very spacious but also very well-appointed, with a huge and very comfortable bed. We loved the bar (dim lighting, plenty of space between tables, an enormous selection of cocktails and other drinks), and the breakfast was very good too!

The cabin was very clean and comfortable, the view of the river was peaceful. We had dinner at the restaurant. The dinning room looks out onto the beautiful tree lined river. Birds and little bunnies were playing. The food was amazing. The Chef put so much care into the quality and options available. Our server Clement was wonderful.He was attentive and knowledgeable. He explained the dishes in great detail. This was one of the best experiences we have had. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay such a joy.

We chose this hotel by chance. We found the hotel easily and the hotel staff helped us park our car (the streets are very narrow). The hotel is a classic building, the likes of which I have rarely seen. It is very beautiful and the staff are very helpful. We liked it very much. It is located right in the city center, on a quiet street. There are many restaurants in the area and lots to visit. I would definitely recommend it.

Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions, but this is the first time booking with booking.com. They have done a extremely good job with the new restaurant having watched it develop over the year. The way the rooms are laid out are good as you feel independent. The location is good if you are on your way back to Calais or going South and you do feel safe if travelling by yourself.

The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area.

The hotel is in the middle of the forest and lake area. You need to drive to othe places or have a bike. The golf course seemed popular but not crowded. The spa looks good, but I didn't use it on this occasion. The pool is outside with a canopy built over, popular with families, but at other times quiet for a proper swim. Short drive to the next village with swimming and watersports facilities. Picnic area and several food outlets and toilets and showers. Free parking places. On the other side of the lake is another village with a larger beach and more facilities. The city of Troyes has a fine medieval centre. But I would recommend a drive to Piney for more good examples of medieval architecture.

Convenient location close to the Rte De Anglaise. 350km from Geneva. Stayed here many times over the past 2 years. Décor in rooms starting showing signs of wear. Cleanliness could be improved within the rooms. Excellent large car park. Close to amenities, walking distance and fuel station only 400m away.

We ate in the hotel restaurant, recommended. We walked a short way to the lake with the dogs which was very pleasant, The village church was very interesting construction. We did not go to the nearby resort area with beach and watersports but have been previously. The lake path is perfect for walking or cycling

We were horrified by the fact this hotel was right beside...

We were horrified by the fact this hotel was right beside Nigloland (there is absolutely nothing in the hotel information which indicates this!) - there was constant screaming from the Fair ground rides! The good in the restaurant was all pre prepared & heated up & the wine list very overpriced without the option of anything under €30 . The accommodation was poor quality & not very clean (The soap dispenser was dirty & my wife dropped a piece of jewellery which meant we had to look around the floor which was extremely dusty!) We did not enjoy our stay one bit!

If you want a motel style stopover, this place fits the bill. It’s not fancy. The breakfast is good. Plenty of free car parking. We had bikes and kept them in our rooms for security which was not a problem for the hotel. Staff were all really pleasant and helpful.

The village of Piney is very small and mainly residential.

The village of Piney is very small and mainly residential. The surrounding area is beautiful, consisting of farmland and beautiful, large forests just begging to be explored on foot or by bike. We overnighted here on our journey from the UK to the Alps – it's a very convenient halfway point. However, we'd love to stay here for longer at some point in the future to explore the forests and lakes.

Troyes is fabulous, the most wonderful medieval city centre...

Troyes is fabulous, the most wonderful medieval city centre I have ever visited, mostly pedestrianised so very safe for wandering around. You need a full day to do the city walk, go into some of the fabulous churches. The Museum of Modern Art, although not actually containing any of the mentioned modern masters, was really interesting and instructive for a mere 8 euros entrance fee. The Jardin restaurant just next for to the hotel was excellent. The Cathedral of Peter and Paul is so simple and beautiful, and very peaceful.
