"We spent a first rate long weekend here in September. This is an hotel with considerable character and charm, only a three minute walk from Houlgate's impressive sandy beach, as well as the centre of town with its wide choice of restaurants. Set in a former villa, the owners have sensibly retained its original style and decor. We received a very warm welcome and were very well looked after throughout our stay: the French breakfasts were especially well done. There is only limited parking in the hotel grounds, (for which a charge is made), but there is street parking in the immediate vicinity. In short, the hotel has all the right ingredients for an enjoyable visit!"
