It's a quiet, relaxing atmosphere, even around the pool area. Breakfast, lunch & dinner possibilities. Large parking, small but cozy spa area. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and have comfortable beds, powerful air-co and a small terrace. Little noise from other rooms or corridors. Extra kudos for the handy refrigerator, which cools drinks quickly but makes no noise at all (excellent brand choice). Very friendly staff, nothing is too much for them.

We loved it.

We loved it. Planned to go to Arles and Uzes but stayed in Nimes as we enjoyed its small allies, shops and restaurants, and did not want to leave. A beautiful walkable city, even for seniors, which dates to ancient Roman times, which we were never aware of. Vast gardens with Roman antiquities and a Roman shrine of Diana. Water running from the spring and between the gardens through the city in a large and beautiful canal along the streets. The "Maison Carree" is beautiful and well preserved The Cathedral is different than others we visited and is very specialץ אhe Arrena is very impressive. The mix of ancient sites from 2,000 years ago, Neo-Classist buildings dated 100-200 years ago, and modern architecture is impressive and creates a serene and enjoyable ambiance. Good restaurants we enjoyed were "The Bird", "La Pie qui Couette" (which was excellent), "Le Bar du Cheval Blanc" (an excellent French choice in a special domed building and a great bar with enormous choice of wines and alcohols), "Tempo" with its original "different" entrees. We will be back for "Le 9" and "Derriere L'Eglise".

We liked the very harmonious mix of ancient history and modern attractions. The map provided by the tourist office with 40 interesting points of interest marked for you to wander in your own time very useful. We had drinks in many places but ate in La Vigourie and IX Louis only. Both delicious and great value. Even though one of us has a few mobility problems walking around in short bursts worked fine; the town is small enough. Sunday market was excellent for end of season summer dresses, roast chickens and figs! Walking the ramparts (in flat shoes) is probably a must, educational animations along the way are well done with sub-titles. A week is a good stay length, take a short train ride to the sea-side ports, architectural surprises like La Grande Motte and out into the Camargue flats.

Le grau du roi is a beautiful compact fishing port. It is located along a bar and cafe canal like estuary. To sit whilst sipping a cold beer, enjoying a local wine or indulging in a splendid seafood meal whilst watching the boats returning in the evening or the sun setting over the lighthouse guarded quayside is heavenly.

A wonderful little town with a good range of shops and places to eat. The old part of the town was so beautiful and wandering around the quiet streets was magical. It was great to be so close to the river, where you can swim and relax, as well as the famous Pont du Gard, which we walked to many times during our stay.

Beautiful city with wide open areas and a very surprising close connection to Roman ancient history, which we did not realize prior to our visit to the city. Vast gardens, a river streaming through the city in a beautiful canal with many big fishes in it. The ancient city is very beautiful and has many touristic sites, restaurants, bars, shops and parking. I recommend a very good hotel - AppartCity Collection - located in a great Location and in a beautiful reserved building with vast and very comfortable rooms, very attentive staff and a great vicinity to major sites, restaurants, bars, shops and parking.

And tourist prices , but that is to be expected . Walking along the marches and canals was nice too . Definitely worth a visit 👍

The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches.

The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille. The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. Mosquitoes are tenacious all around this area due to miles and miles of open shallow water. Personal verdict: go somewhere else instead.
