I chose KYRIAD because I stayed for 1 night in November 25 and as it was a friendly, comfortable and very nice breakfast that I decided to book on my return from UK however I did not realise there are actual 3 KYRIAD HOTEL in CHATEROUX.....it was as good After loading my car and checking out they allowed me to have another coffee before my journey....

The communication with the owner was so helpful, especially as I had no idea what to expect in the town. He offered to pick me up from the bus stop however, it is only about a three minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. Right on the same road. The whole town is absolutely gorgeous and the hotel building was no exception. I could tell that the owner had spent significant time and thought to make it so beautifully french. When you walk in, it is to a lovely sitting area where guests can gather and share the homecooked breakfast together. The owner also owns a restaurant nearby so his 'home' cooking is pretty amazing. A great room, with a beautiful bathroom and just so thoughtfully decorated. It was a lovely space to be in. I also did go to the restaurant for lunch, Les Chimeres. The atmosphere and the food were super. As I have just bought a holiday house here, the owner has also gone out of his way to assist me with local information. I overheard him giving some practical tips to some other guests. It's the place to stay if you want to enjoy peace and beauty right on your door step.

The is a large city.

The is a large city. We consentrated on the old part of the town and enjoyed seeing what was available. We don't think it warrants more that a couple of days but iis a good stop over place on-route to somewhere else.

Everything about the hotel, the staff, the room, the pool and the cleanliness was excellent, but no bar or dining facilities on a Sunday night is very disappointing when your hungry and tired after an 8 hour drive!

A fairly large town with more shops than usually found in France. Had a very pleasant walk around the town a varied range of houses and an unusual war memorial. Super market located near town centre. Watch out for the one way streets.

Horrible location. In an industrial/ commercial estate. I booked because I needed to use the restaurant. Was advised by email while en route (48 hour journey) restaurant closed all weekend. Only option was to get in car and drive again ( already driven 8 hours) and leave the dogs . Only walking distance option was a terrible Chinese buffet. Everything else closed. Apparently it is in the terms of booking. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Needed to be flagged very prominently and it wasn’t. I would never have booked if it had been obvious the restaurant was closed. Hotel claims we weren’t charged for 2 dogs. I can’t verify as I didn’t keep the invoice. Payed over €100 for a dingy tiny room in need of updating, horrible location, hotel minimally functioning. Then got pushback from hotel on posting an entirely fair account of my experience. The resorting to “guest blaming” is reflective of the of the experience delivered . Not good enough Best Western: It was a poor experience. I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay her, unfortunately.

Everything was first class with attention to detail.

Everything was first class with attention to detail. Food was amazing and hosts could not have done anything to make our stay any better. If I could score this 11 out of 10 I would. We had the perfect stay, rooms are exemplary with period furniture and really comfortable beds. Best place i have stayed in for ages and will definitely go back. Thanks for looking after us, great laughter and great company.

The hotel has a good spa with pool in a steam room, sauna and treatment/ massage areas. Golf of course. Views from all rooms over the golf course. Balconies. Very comfortable rooms. Breakfast on the top level, dinner on the ground, both spacious and attractive dining rooms. Its quiet, peaceful and perfect for relaxation.

A lovely town which is easy to walk around, no steep hills. A good choice of bars and restaurants. The bars offer the choice in the evenings to enjoy a quiet drink or join in with a lively atmosphere at a bar around a pretty square.

Fabulous suburb of Chateauroux, lots to do. Excellent motorway links. Perfect for stopover as some hotels are less than 1 km from a main interchange. Great choice of good restaurants at all price points.

Our room was a good size with a large balcony and had beautiful views. The restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was of a good standard. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

This was a 4-star hotel so you can expect a certain level of comfort and facilities. It is essentially a corporate hotel I would say, so used primarily during the week by business people. The building had an interesting history as a cigarette factory, although apart from a few murals in the room and hotel public areas which referenced this history, the decor was modern and from the inside it was not necessarily obvious that this was a building from the 1800s. It was a good location for us for an overnight on our trip back to the UK from Provence, The hotel is centrally situated and has secure, paid parking opposite the hotel. The food for dinner was satisfactory and served very rapidly. The staff were friendly and efficient.
