You have to have the dinner experience, so so good. The breakfast was also very good and buffet style. It was raining and even we still had a wonderful time.

A great place to relax! The lakeside cabins proved to be the perfect choice – clean, well-equipped (kitchenette, bathroom, comfortable beds), and with a beautiful view of the water from the terrace. The area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, walking, or enjoying morning coffee while listening to birdsong. The lake is very close by – perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The only downside was the lack of internet access for the entire stay (8 days).

Very nice camp in beautiful location. We like the chalet we had, especially the view across the valley and the proximity to the well maintained swimming pool. The chalet was well equipped but please bear in mind you must take all your own washing up materials and toilet paper, although some initially provided. Staff were friendly. A short walk will take you the the centre of Meyrueis which is excellent. We just wished we lived closer so we could visit more often!

It was an absolutely charming property. The decor of the reception and restaurant was beautiful as was our very quirky but fully functional bedroom. Our waiter/man on reception was so welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding.

We only bought food this time.
We only bought food this time. But on earlier visit stayed at Grand Hotel du Parc which was very good. Streets are narrow and one way system can be difficult. Best to use parking at edge of town in high season.

A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location. Although we visited out of season it was still quite busy and we imagine that in high season it might be very overcrowded and not very pleasant. We struggled to find a good choice of restaurant for our one evening meal there as it seemed there were several restaurants at 'Ground level' but with rather expensive menus for average food as you would expect in a tourist town. We eventually chose a Creperie which had good and generous portions at a fair price. However the location was not easy for us as retirees as it was at the top of the village and required a difficult climb and descent on either cobblestone or quite slippery steps. Fine for young people but not so good for the elderly. We can recommend an outing to La Malene - the next village for a trip on the Battalieres of the Tarn who provided a wonderful small boat trip down the river which was unforgetable.

The hotel was fine, in line with what I expected. The dinner was exceptional – hats off to the chef for preparing a wonderful meal. The value proposition for dinner and for the hotel was very good. Recommended.

It is an interesting and attractive town - we could have...
It is an interesting and attractive town - we could have explored much more. But we were there for the walking and the Causses are something else. Don't all go and see please: the quietness and isolation is important! The Gorges du Tarn is also magnificent.

Cute village in a stunning setting. In early April there is tons of parking but almost nothing to eat. The bakery closes early and is not open Wednesdays. The Chateau looks like the food is amazing, but it is expensive.

A prerfect place to stop on the GR65.
A prerfect place to stop on the GR65. The next day was Sunday and there was a big festival happening that day but we had to continue our walk. Wish I'd known; I would've booked two nights here.

We had to enter the coordinates of the farm in the navigation system of our car to get to this small paradise. The place is nature pure. The food is 100% local. Bread is cooked once a week. the water is simply source water. The staff is very good always ready to help. People coming here are from all the possible places but somehow with some similar motivation and envy to enjoy what this place can offer to you.
The wifi (when available) is very weak ... but it is not required in this place where everybody can eventually find some time and space to walk, to talk, to discuss, to read, to admire the nature, to get inspired or simply to think.

Mende is a charming regional capital.
Mende is a charming regional capital. There are many places to visit in the wider Lozere area, We visited an outdoor art trail, a Spa and the beautiful Tarn Gorge during our visit and felt that we could spend much longer exploring the wider region.
The restaurants and bars in Mende were welcoming and we enjoyed great local beers and produce.

The town is very clean and compact with all the restaurants and bars very close together along the main street. Beautiful location. Easy to get into the surrounding countryside. Municipal car park is a two minute walk from the town centre and has plenty of space.

This town is on the Stevenson Trail so many hikers pass...
This town is on the Stevenson Trail so many hikers pass through here. There are a few restaurants including one in the Michelin guide. On a Sunday evening when we were there only the pizza place was open - and this was very good.
