South AfricaAn excellently managed and well-maintained hotel. The apartments are very spacious and lavishly equipped, including the kitchen. The room furnishings and patio furniture are excellent. The swimming pool (2) is heated and large. Plenty of sun loungers are available.
Very attentive and friendly mangement and staff. The Wine bar offers a huge selection of cocktails beer and wine.
Interesting that the there is no reception as everything is done online.
Domme a picturesk small village has many nice restaurants if you want to go out and not use your own kitchen facilities.

FranceThe location was finé and the host attentive. Breakfast was continental (toast, croissant, pain au chocolat, yoghurt, coffee or tea). We chose to eat in for dinner, and the first night’s meal was excellent. The host had to be away from the hotel the next day so the meal was not of the same standard, but we would eat in again on a future visit.

Everything was fantastic. This is one of our favourite places that we stayed on our holiday (and there were many of them!) Our treehouse was quiet, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The hosts were lovely and the breakfasts were a perfect addition, generous for the price.

I love Sarlat it has a lovely township, a good central place...
I love Sarlat it has a lovely township, a good central place to visit other villages, rivers and walking forests.
Two very busy market days Wednesday and Saturday and all the Supermarkets are very close to the township.

People are nice, not as French as you'd imagine, lots of English spoken, lots of English people, and those who did not speak English were always willing to help.
Bergerac is a small very picturesque city, there weree things for the family, but you had to seek them out, the tourist info office is perhaps the first place to visit, though it was the last place we went to, sadly.

A lovely city with a very interesting medieval centre. The Cathedral is beautiful and there are 3 interesting museums within easy walking distance plus lovely riverside walks. The market on Wednesday and Saturday are fab with great local produce. Quality restaurants and a very friendly area

Montignac is a lovely old town on the Vezere river that offers a more relaxed and less frantic sojourn in the Dordogne area. The town has a wide range of bars and restaurants and is a joy to walk with bridges giving access to both banks of the river.

Very scenic and atmospheric; walk along the river and up in the car-free streets. Great restaurants, La Belle Etoile best meal on our trip to France. Great place to bike, canoe, kayak or take a boat trip.

Boulazac has commercial trading estates which are useful for accessing supermarkets and petrol stations but not for tourists unless the accommodation is found on the outskirts where there are quiet and tranquil residential areas and semi-rural locations to be enjoyed. It is, however, very close to Perigueux with its tourist attractions and gastronomic cuisine. It is also well placed for visiting the Dordogne and all of its attractions by car.

For anyone interested in the ancient cave art, this town is not to be missed. There is also lots of foie gras to be sampled, and decent wine. Our favorite cafe and restaurant were in the nearby town of le Bugue. However it was early in the season and not all the restaurants in Les Eyzies were open yet. Also nearby are caverns with fantastic stalagmites and stalactites.

Such a pretty town with a lovely river running through it, with canoes, and other things to do on the river. Superb Cathedral and caves to explore. Lots of good restaurants - a perfect stop for 2-3 days.

A lot of South West France is in the middle of nowhere so...
A lot of South West France is in the middle of nowhere so you always have to take a car trip to go anywhere. Also the villages only tend to have one bar, shop etc. Eymet is really different it has loads of independent shops with a small supermarket, great restaurants and bars and lots going on.
Apparently it is like this also in winter. It is really pretty, small enough not to be overwhelming but busy enough to have a great time and get everything that you need.
I have been there 3 times now mostly to attend a friends party but I would definitely recommend it for a stay.
