"It was simply the best place on my camino (from Le Puy) even if it was not exactly on the camino. Just a few km away. But! Perfectly equipped, very tastefully. Perfectly kept - cleanest clean. And the lady at the reception desk is just a real treasure. If I am nearby again, I would never think about staying anywhere else! Big thank you! I travel a lot (mostly for work) but this was simply one of the best hotels - accommodation+ service I have ever been to - and I am talking about 4-5 stars hotels around the world. If you think I am a bit exagerrating just go and see - you will see that I am not. In the least."

"The Saint Anne was an exceptional hotel that far exceeded our expectations. We wished we stayed there longer. We stayed in the Junior Suite. The Booking.com photos do not do it justice, the rooms were far larger. There was a lounge area, bedroom area, separate toilet and bathroom. Two balconies with full length opening doors allowed in air during the July heatwave, we were very comfortable. AirCon was there if not. The territory of the hotel is superb, you are in a gated area with open and covered garden terraces for having tea/coffee in the morning/afternoon, a chapel, swimming pool and walkable gardens. The staff are all very friendly from the duty staff to maids, French-English spoken as well as native English. You can ask for something when you need it, they are unobtrusive and let you enjoy and relax in the territory when you don't. Everything great value for money. The hotel is at the bottom of the street from main Martel centre and has own parking area. Martel itself is a great central base for exploring the area, but don't miss its local market day. The chef at the Saint Anne is well known, a superb dinner of fresh and quality ingredients is served on an open terrace. Make sure you take the dinner reservation when the owner offers it to you, else you are likely to be disappointed with it being fully booked. We look forward to returning here."
