The property is very comfortable and super welcoming. Reception staff made us feel at home straight away. you have food and cold and hot beverage free of charge at any time near the breakfast area. Rooms are simple but nicely furnished and beds are very comfortable. But.. what deserve a 10 out of 10 is the breakfast. This quality is rarely found even in 5 stars hotels. The buffet breakfast is of super high interest.

Super hotel, very good sound insulation. Very helpful staff. Compliments for Clémence who very patiently explained an app with which we could hire e-bikes in the square in front of the hotel. This saved the day because I cannot walk very far and the local bike shop had no more bikes to rent out. Valence is a lovely small town. We recommend strongly!

Fabulous place to stay. Great location! Wonderful breakfast, excellent and very helpful staff. I loved the room looking over the church of St Pierre. Our room had an amazing view - it definitely is worth paying the extra couple of EUR. You can hear water running on the river and ‘waterfalls‘ nearby, as well as the church bell - something nice for me, but perhaps others may disagree. The bathroom was updated and the hotel’s location is excellent. Dinner and breakfast were really good, even if the restaurant’s menu felt a little limited. They organise Museum tours only for guests but we had to leave earlier. There was a temporary art exhibition in the breakfast area.

Lovely traditional French hotel,friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant and food was superb. Good location and easy to walk into town quiet at night very restful. Nice clean and comfortable room with modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a good value hotel in this beautiful area.

Die is a gem of a place, friendly, beautiful, users friendly. The only drawback: hard to find a restaurant on a Monday evening since the best restaurant in town and within a 50 km radius, Le Repère, was closed for annual vacations. Keep up the good work.

Saint-Jean-en-Royans is located at the bottom of Combe Laval...

Saint-Jean-en-Royans is located at the bottom of Combe Laval and is a great base for exploring the area, whether on bikes or by car. Lots of great hikes and challenging bike rides, a camping area by a beautiful river and the mountains ever present with beautiful small villages that dot the countryside.
