We had the best couple of days spent here. The place is gorgeous, full of history. And the people there are absolutely lovely. The location is stunning, with wild Dartmoor ponies running around, spectacular aurora views from the room, and delicious food. We loved the trip. We are so glad that we chose this place for our special occasion.

Northgate House is in a beautiful setting, so peaceful. We enjoyed our lovely breakfast and the staff are so wonderful and friendly.

Beautiful country-chic pub, with a heavenly garden, roaming peacocks and fluffy hens. The food is first class with local sourced products. We spent the night and the room was lovely, nicely decorated and spacious. Last but not least, the staff and the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. This place is a little piece of heaven on Earth. We will certainly visit it again.

Settled in the Dartmoor national park, it is a very quiet and comforting get away. You can have a short walk with children from there as well as long ones. Plenty of nice activities in the hotel (boardgames, crocket, tennis, walks). The place is full of charm and history. The staff is extremely kind and efficient. They made the stay easy for a single parent, offering private dining. The kids menu was varied, delicious and decently priced. The restaurant was a treat for me as well.

Built around the famous South Zeal Menhir Standing Stone, this 12th-century manor house is set in its own 4-acre monastery gardens in a pretty Devonshire village.

Everything! Gorgeous clean room, comfy bed, lovely views, so many thoughtful touches such as the dog welcome box, and chocolates. Such a high quality finish and luxury feel. Amazingly dog friendly. The location is perfect for a comfortable stay whilst exploring Dartmoor. We found the rooms very comfortable & the food excellent, great choice of beers, wines etc & the menu was varied. All the staff we met were helpful, friendly & very efficient, even when rushed off their feet. We have stayed previously & will not hesitate to stay again. Thoroughly recommend.
