The facilities were absolutely incredible The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even bumped us up to a double room because they had one available. The price of the rooms include breakfast! I had a full English and my partner had mushrooms on toast both were incredible. The food here is outstanding the baked Brie and the ribs from the tapas menu were insanely delicious and the steaks were cooked perfectly. The bar is clearly the social hub of Bolsolver with a large selection of drinks and a very welcoming atmosphere. I was initially a little concerned that I would be able to hear the sbr as you stay above it. BUT I can honestly say you can NOT hear anything and it was the best nights sleep I have had in a hotel. It's in a very quaint setting and the town of Bolsolver is very beautiful.. I recommend Bolsolver castle as a place to visit that and Hardwicke Hall. Finally the servers and all the staff are absolutely incredible so attentive and polite and very knowledgeable about the area. If I could rate them higher I would they were so amazing. Genuinely one of the best places I have ever stayed

Lovely quite sprawling city that could do with better sign-posting, but many great bars and places to see. The vintage cinema and market hall were both frustratingly closed during the days of my visit. Good transport network with buses to Nottingham and Leicester.

Buxton is a lovely place to visit but to also use as a base to walk locally with several excellent walks from the centre of Buxton so you don’t have to take the car eg up to Solomon’s Temple. The Buxton Crescent experience is certainly worth doing too.

Matlock and Matlock Bath are both beautiful places to visit. We walked ip High tor and giddy edge which was an excellent experience. Brilliant views from the top and equally at the bottom looking up the rock faces. Fish and chips at the Riverside Fish and Chip shop were amazing value and very tasty.

A beautiful little town with lots of heritage and history. Many little bake shops and boutiques. We enjoyed walking around the town even in the cold. The Woodyard is a great restaurant with lots of choices. Bakewell is very picturesque and well worth a visit.... it's a charming overnight stay, even if you dont like Bakewell tarts!

Castleton is lovely at anytime of year to visit but especially magical at Christmas when they turn the lights on in mid November and the village is so picturesque well worth a visit so much to see and can easily reach so many other places from there too even if you don't drive has a regular bus service which serves other villages too.You would never be short of getting a place to stay either as there are plenty of pubs for bed and breakfast even cosy cottages to rent too.

Ashbourne is a great location for visting the lower peak district. With other towns within a 30 minute drive, you can see quite a lot in a short space of time. Plenty of working located in the local area. The only downside this time was that they digging up the center of Ashbourne and this makes accessibility to the shops etc slightly more un sightly but will look amazing when finished.

A fantastic hotel located in a perfect location within a small town. The facilities and amenities in the hotel are of a high standard and are very enjoyable after a long day, with several areas available to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming and always have time to stop, speak and just make you feel like a person rather than a number. Finally the food on an evening is superb and definitely value for money. The breakfast is equally as good with good local produce being used and served, which is very much evident. Overall a fantastic second stay at the hotel and I will return next year

Baslow is a perfect base for the peaks. You have lots of amenities in the village, nice pubs, cafes and shops all within walking distance. Literally on chatsworth doorstep and all other peak attractions no more than a 10 to 15 minute drive in any direction. Main road quite busy but to be expected for a central location.
