Felt like a home from home rather than your usual holiday let

Boasting lake views, Upper Villa, Tighnabruiach, Argyll & Bute offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 37 km from Benmore Botanic Garden. We spent fantastic 3x nights in Upper Villa. Great views, very cosy apartment well equiped ( variety of spices/coffee/tea plus lovely gesture from host who left us a bottle of prosecco on arrival) and nice garden with decking. A lovely wee toilet with shower downstairs specifically designed for dogs was a nice touch too. Very helpful neighbours who gave us some tips about local walks. Close to Portavadie marina and stunning Kilbride Bay. Kim our host was fantastic and very caring- check out time was at 10 am but we had a late cruise organised in the afternoon and our host let us stay longer until 12 which was very convenient. Will definitely come back!

A recently renovated holiday home situated in Kames, Craignethan features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The location couldn't have been better situated right on the Loch.. The house was clean and tastefully decorated. Beds comfortable.

Situated on the shores of the Kyles of Bute, Kames Hotel boasts original Edwardian features, home-cooked food and an extensive range of malt whiskies and local ales. Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The breakfast menu offered a wide selection of options and was cooked to perfection with wonderful ingredients. The hotel has a list of their food suppliers on display and this food provenance is reflected in the wonderful freshly cooked dinners we enjoyed. The main courses were all large portions and very satisfying. The bar had an excellent selection of scottish gins all well worth trying. The room was very comfortable and well appointed and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies. The hosts Irene and Scott are very friendly and made us very welcome.
