The main square is quite nice to walk down, with lots of shops and resteraunts to pop into. Elgin Cathedral is up there as one of my favourite cathedrals/abbys that I've visited. stunning views from the top of the tower.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Fabulous Town with lots going on.
Fabulous Town with lots going on. Plenty of restaurants and places to visit. We managed to see the new bridge onto the East Beach which was fantastic. We even managed to see a wedding ceremony on the beach.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Ready access to the beach and all other coastal villages each with their own unique charm and character. Friendly people and superb local cuisine. With regard to eating out, there was a limited choice of places to eat in Buckie itself after 7pm. I would say that Struan house is the best hotel in Buckie and that my complimentary review probably mirrors the thoughts of many others who have stayed there.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Aberlour is a beautiful Speyside town in Scotland.
Aberlour is a beautiful Speyside town in Scotland. It's clear people here take pride in the place - very tidy, hanging baskets, no litter etc. Charming to visit. There is plenty to do in the town and the surrounding area. No shortage of distilleries to visit, nice restaurants, pubs, cafes and great hotels. The weather varies greatly by season so come prepared. Lots to do outside - fishing, walking, mountain biking and much more. Heartily recommend it!Guest review byMariaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

International dark sky park and local ski centre. Didn’t have enough time to visit other local attractions like the castle ruins, Jacobite battle sites etc. could spend weeks up here if you’re outdoor people!Guest review bymichael - 10.0

Dufftown is more than just a whisky destination; it's a place where history, nature, and community intertwine beautifully. It's a peaceful retreat that still offers plenty to explore and experience, making it an absolute must-visit for anyone travelling through Moray Speyside. Whether you're drawn by the amber liquid, the stunning scenery, or the warm Scottish hospitality, Dufftown truly delivers an exceptional and memorable visit.Guest review byDonaldUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Nice cafe, gift shop, views.
Nice cafe, gift shop, views. Good place to explore the coastline. Lindas fish and chip shop was great. Rockpool cafe for lunch. We enjoyed the Cullen skink (when in Rome!!) and the fish platter. Great little trading company was a lovely gift shop. Whale and dolphin conservation , at Spey Bay, was a nice wee find. Set in the beautiful Spey Bay. Portsoy harbour was beautiful. Great beaches all along the coast.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Fochabers is a quaint, lovely small town dating from the 18th century. Easy to drive in and find parking. It’s a convenient location to use as a base to visit surrounding historical sites, look for local shops for made in Scotland goods, go to some distilleries or drive to the coast. Beautiful Castle Gordon next to the town, offer tours. First Highland Games of the Season are held on the Castle grounds in May. There are at least four places to stay, Gordon Castle being one. Delightfully diverse dining options; most are an easy walk. Depending on where you stay, dining is also available on site. We stayed at the Red Lion Tavern that offers a fabulous breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fochabers. Please consider this lovely village as part of your itinerary.Guest review byChristineUnited States - 2.0

This hotel is very expensive and a rip off, working in the area every month and had no option to use it one night for a stay, caters for the tourists and rips them off, go 10 mins in any direction and get better service and room for half the cost. If you are a tourist more expensive does not mean better, especially at this hotel.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom
