We enjoyed our stay at The Kings Head Hotel. It is a great location for exploring beautiful North Yorkshire and the Moors. We were warmly welcomed by Bob, and found all the staff to be very friendly. Breakfast was included in our booking and was very nice, with a good selection and plenty of tea and coffee. We also had two evening meals during our stay, which were excellent. There was a good hospitality tray in our room. We had a twin room with comfy beds, and the shower was hot with a nice range of toiletries.

I had a room in the Old Lodgings as the hotel was full. A short walk from the hotel (and car park) but that wasn't a problem for me. I would stay here again, and happily n the Old Lodgings, but I suspect the rooms in the hotel itself are great so would consider there if available. Its a nice location, access to many of the attractions around North Yorkshire is easy...Trains and Busses offer an alternative to driving. Recommended and I hope to stay here again in the future.

Located right in the centre of Ripon and a great place to base yourself for touring North Yorkshire. The hotel is part of the Wetherspoon's group and therefore right above the pub. Typical Wetherspoon's menu, a good variety and well priced. There is limited parking actually by the hotel but the Pay & Display car park is a five minute walk out of the side door of the pub. Parking free from 8pm to 8am and even parking for 24hrs was only £2.50.

Very peaceful small Hotel, excellent breakfast, beautiful gardens to walk around and sit for an early evening drink. out room was a superior double, very quiet, large comfy bed (nice and firm) small balcony overlooking the gardens and for miles in the distance over the north yorkshire moors, we didn't stay for dinner, as i had a meeting in pickering, but the evening menu looked very interesting.
