Amazing place to stay. Spent two nights here and the room was lovely.. really cosy and the staff made you feel at home. Breakfast is lush, it's not buffet but you get selection of pastries and toast etc. Then main breakfast and tea and coffee and juice. I preferred it like this. We had tea in here one night too and it was really really nice. They have a residents only lounge with open fire too. TV and toiletries great in bedroom. Loved it that much just booked 2 nights for December. You won't be disappointed if you stay here at all.

Gorgeous historical pub with lovely cosy bedrooms, a bar and restaurant with a great menu. We sat in front of the log fire and it was very cosy. Everyone in the bar talked to each other, it was very homely. Very good value and a great breakfast included in the price.

The location and hotel were beautiful. Quiet and lovely grounds to enjoy. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

Very clean and a great location for us to stay over after a Spa day at the nearby (10 minutes away) Whinfell Centre Parcs. The Host Karen was very helpfull and answered our queries straight away.
