Stayed in the Narnia suite, absolutely beautiful throughout. We loved the secret room with it’s window seating and chairs where we could view the castle and church. Lots of seating and cushions so comfortable and relaxing. The staff here are friendly and helpful as my partner has a food intolerance he asked a lot of questions about the food. The hotel is in a great location it is close to everything we wanted restaurants, shops and attractions.

We arrived late, almost at midnight, without a reservation. The night staff were helpful, but they didn’t have enough authority to fully assist us. It would be better if the hotel trained the night staff to handle last-minute guests for the benefit of both the guests and the hotel. It wasn’t their fault—they did their best. Thank you, Garett, for being kind and helpful. The breakfast was great—I loved the sausage—and the service flowed smoothly. Also, the location is excellent—just a minute’s walk to the railway station.

The Inn has undergone a full refurbishment to a very high standard. The atmosphere was very welcoming inside. The room we had, 104 was large, plenty of room, clean and well laid out. From check on, to evening meal and breakfast / check out all the staff were a credit to the company. It is evident the staff are very happy to work for the group, they are all a credit and deserve our thanks.

We had two dinners at Royal Oak. The first was rather disappointing. When we returned to town a week later, we had an exceptional dinner in their beautiful peacock blue dining room. Regardless of which visit, staff were uniformly kind and warm. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was again excellent, both in quality of the raw materials and care in preparation.

The staff were very accommodating, we were travelling with our dog and had reserved a dog friendly room. The room contained a dog bed for our dog to use while we stayed there and a little gift bag for our dog including treats. It was almost as if dogs were "welcomed" instead of being seen as a hindrance. We appreciated them making us feel at home.

After having ridden for 5 hours on our motor bikes, I discovered that I had made a booking date error. The staff (Rosalyn, and I guess the manager who's name I didn't get) were so very helpful, and used the powers that they had to get us a room in what was a fully booked out hotel. Thanks so much guys, you truly saved the day.

The Forest Coaster at Zip World, Swallow Falls and The Fairy Glen were the highlights. Wild swimming amazing. The town itself is very busy with tourists but given the beauty of this place, that is to be expected. Scenery is stunning and the people are friendly. Very busy but if you get away from the crowds and enjoy the nature, it’s a winner!

Llanberis is a great base for exploring Snowdonia, there are plenty of walks straight out of your accommodation, it is also the start of the most straightforward route for climbing Snowdon. The excellent Sherpa bus service runs regularly, which is much more convenient than trying to find a parking space at busy times and in popular destinations. There is quite a lot of work going on in and around Llanberis at the moment, so do check that the attraction you are interested is available when you plan to travel. There are quite a few places to eat in Llanberis, plus a couple of supermarkets. We particularly enjoyed Pete’s Eats, great if you have a huge appetite or fancy a pint mug of tea, but our favourite was Spice of Llanberis. This great Indian restaurant isn’t licensed but you are welcome to take your own alcohol, we found both the meal and the service brilliant.

Only spent a brief afternoon and evening in the Conwy area. Walked around town which was very nice and great view from bridge of harbour area. Didn’t have time to visit castle. If you are having food by the harbour be aware as the seagulls are very aggressive and will swoop on you to steal your chips. Sounds amusing but I can assure you it isn’t.

This hotel is in a very scenic part of Wales.

This hotel is in a very scenic part of Wales. We had no trouble parking our car. We were given a top floor room, which required steep stairs to be negotiated. There was no offer to help with luggage. The room was very cold upon entry, although there were heaters in a cupboard, which did enough to warm the room up. Several items of furniture were in the room, but there was a distinct lack of places to put things - there was no set place to put make-up on, there was no shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on, there was nowhere to put toiletries in the shower and the mirror over the sink in the shower room was not at a suitable height for a 1.88m male (it was far too low). There was only hand wash gel in the bathroom, there was no shampoo. Sockets were not at a premium either. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel as it wasn't included in the £105/night charge. This cost £10.99 per breakfast, for which we received a cooked breakfast of mediocre size, (which was just hot enough to eat), apple juice, tea and instant coffee. There were no other items offered for the price paid. In summary, we paid close to £127 for one night's stay and breakfast at this hotel, which was well over what it should have been for the quality of the room/facilities/breakfast we received, in comparison to other hotels used on this trip of ours. Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was not good; as such, we will never return to it again.
