What a quintessential British luxury pub stay! Everything about the place is luxury from the delicious smelling hand soaps to the softest sheets to the soaking tub. The rooms are designed so tastefully! I would definitely suggest upgrading to the special room on the top floor that has the tub. It was such a spacious room and of course gorgeous bathroom. Very convenient location - just a 5-min walk from the city centre.

Contrasting with "upmarket" chain hotels I've stayed in recently it was great - the TV was an ACTUAL smart TV which was NOT the case in a Voco or a holiday Inn express. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant belonging to the property serves first class cuisine and reasonably priced

What a wonderful hotel! It's about 500 years old but has been very well kept. Everything is in beautiful shape with the old wood paneling shining and a cozy fire in the fireplace. Our room was large and very clean with a gorgeous view out the window. The staff were all very helpful and they have a good secure place to keep bicycles overnight.

Glastonbury is a beautiful town in England with a great vibe. There are lots of great places to visit, such as the Tor, Abbey and Chalice Well. If you want to get away from the pressures of everyday life and back to a more spiritual time, then head there. There are some lovely cafes selling homemade food and bars selling local brews to sample. There's a great friendly atmosphere in Glastonbury and it's a place where you can just be yourself.

Yeovil, a lovely town, in places! The high street area and precinct is trying to bring the place up but, as is common with other towns and cities in the UK, they are lacking proper investment. Some good shops but also a lot of charity shops. the centre appears to be a building site at present - hopefully something good is planned....

Liked · EXCEPTIONALLY PEACEFUL AND CLEAN ACCOMMODATION. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. From the moment we we arrived at Maplestone we were made to feel really welcome. Alan showed us to our room and made us a pot of tea with cake and sat with us in the garden, great service. Alan is an excellent host with a friendly, professional manner with great local knowledge. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Exceptional breakfast was plentiful and delicious with great choice. The property has a beautiful, quiet garden with tables and chairs to relax in. Would definitely stay again. Well done Alan and thank you for your making us feel so welcome.

The caves were amazing...well worth a visit.

The caves were amazing...well worth a visit. Must admit I was a bit concerned as I have a mobility issue and walk with a stick...I was totally fine and thoroughly enjoyed both caves. Had a coffee and cake in Gough Caves cafe when we came out before doing the other cave. Maybe I hadn't thought about it but I was amazed to find out they store Chedder cheese in the caves..totally gobsmacked. The shops are lovely to walk round, the ice cream shops are gorgeous. Plenty of cafes and tea shops. Nowhere is cheap...quite expensive but it's a tourist place... to be expected. Take sandwiches if on a budget.
