I do not eat in the morning but they have a nice eating area even with a fireplace. The administration works super well, they are organized, helpful and very polite. The place is spotless. I recommend Ippokampos and Taverna Ntougkas to eat, and also Giova Gelato for coffee and sorbets.

The resort is absolutely magnificent - the fact that it is connected to a private beach which is only available to the hotel guests is definitely a highlight. The beach is clean,sandy ( not rocky) unlike many beaches in Greece. They supply you with sun beds too so it’s really inviting to go swimming. We loved it! We had booked the Honeymoon suite which was superior in every way … 🙏🏼

The staff, the food, the well-maintained garden with beautiful flowers. The pool is also very clean and it has its own beachfront but also close to many other beaches. We could cook for our toddler which is very important for us because he has lots of allergies. At the same time it was very convinient to order food from the restaurant when we want to.

The staff was very kind, approachable and professional at the same time. The room exceeded my expectations. They even had this projector like screen strategically placed for providing shade during the afternoon (which was a great detail). Well, it was simply great and I can see myself visiting again (especially if you have kids).

The beach at Almira was wonderful, there is an organized section with full beach-bar service and the beach itself is clean, soft, and sandy. It is a perfect location for enjoying a swim and the view from the water looking back to the village is very nice.

Great location, if you have a car, to get to Olympia.

Great location, if you have a car, to get to Olympia. Lovely town square with great selection of restaurants to eat at - mainly Italian themed as opposed to Greek. Beaches are not well advertised as to where to park near to them. Suggest 2 day stay - one day Olympia and one day beach.

We were on a "pilgrammage" of sorts intended to seek out our familial origins and were travelling by a rented vehicle from Eurocar which we picked up at the Athens Airport. This was a major winner for us! Take your GPS with you and enjoy the encredibly well organized motor ways that would best be described as excellent in every way. Kyllini was easy to find just off the West Coast and in good striking distance for other sites. It is a port city, really, with Ferry traffic to the Islands which could have made it noisy and unpleasant. However, such was not the case with super restaurant facilities and the Greek Pastries in the local shops were simply scrumptious. Have fun!

It’s a very remote town.

It’s a very remote town. A very long and tiring drive to get there, and not much to visit. The town is just average and all the restaurants were closed in April. Nice scenery and very nice people. It’ll probably be more appealing in summer when is hot down the mountains and all the restaurants and coffee shops are open.

Zacharo is really, really Greek and there seemed to be absolutely nothing happening. I figure you have three alternatives to fill your time: swim or stare at the sea during the day, sit at a cafe and gossip at night, or get through War & Peace.

Go when not so crowded or hot. We did well at end of September. I highly recommend if you have a car to do a free Olive Oil tour & tasting at OILYPIAN Koufolias Olive Oil Mill about 15 min away from town. I also loved OLYBEEA for family run local honey which you may sample before you buy! Have a meal up the hill (you can walk but best with car) at The Garden :) You will dine under olive trees & get a great view. Try to eat around sunset for a treat!

Katakolon is the main port for cruise liners where guests are visiting Olympia and seems geared up largely for this purpose. It is quite a pleasant seaside town but nothing exceptional. When we were there there were no cruise ships in port and it was very quiet. All of the seafront restaurants and bars were open so we had our pick, but a lot of the shops were close for most of the time we were there. Olympia is about a 30 minute drive from here.

It is located close to the Temple of Apollo Epikourios...

It is located close to the Temple of Apollo Epikourios which is well worth a visit. The village of Andritsaina itself has a neglected air about it despite its springs and friendly villagers as well as beautiful location. We walked everywhere and the food at Petrino, the taverna in which we ate was good.
