Breakfast and dinner are served in the room (if preferred) or you can eat in the restaurant. There’s a nice small gym and spa you can use. The location was also very good, 10 minutes drive from the Municipal Parking in the center.
On top of it all, the service was exceptional. Highly recommend!

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the night shift receptionist, who was always welcoming and attentive.
Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options, and the restaurant has an incredible panoramic view over Chania – truly a highlight!
The room was comfortable and clean, and one of the best features was the free shuttle service to the city center, which saved us the stress of looking for parking.
We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Chania.

She made calls to the port authority, numerous times, and helped us figure out alternatives. The strike did not happen but we would have been prepared without her.

CanadaSelected Suites is simply outstanding. Abdel is the best host, greeting us personally at the front entrance, and always helping us with any request we had. He was so kind and brought us right to our room. And Ayu is such a wonderful person to take care of guests - she came to the room with Abdel and gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate a big birthday. She also met us at 6am on day of departure to give us a travel package with treats for our long journey home. Order the breakfast in your room - it is amazing. A basket full of delicious food and drinks! The pool is such a nice addition to the hotel as well. Finally we were so happy with our room. We got a king room with balcony and a hammam spa - in the room! What a treat after every day of walking and exploring. We could not have asked for more.

Hong KongI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elia Sea Suites during a week-long vacation in August 2024. As someone who loves the beach and ocean views, I was excited to experience this highly-rated accommodation, and it did not disappoint.
The Suites itself was spacious and well-appointed, with a large balcony offering stunning panoramic views of the crystal blue waters of the sea. The room was clean and with high-end furnishings and all the modern amenities I could want, including a luxurious king-size bed, wet bar, and high-definition TV. The jacuzzi facing the sea was particularly impressive. Beautiful place to watch the sunset.
The suite's location right on the beachfront was perfect, allowing me easy access to the beach. There are restaurants nearby, or take 10 mins walk to the Old Town.
The service was consistently excellent throughout my stay. The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, quickly resolving door lock issue I had in the no bathroom. The housekeeping team kept my suite spotless every day. I was particularly impressed by the friendly chef during breakfast time as she cooked the food with great heart.
Overall, my stay at the Elia Sea Suites was an absolute dream. The combination of the stunning accommodations, prime beachfront location, and exceptional service made this the perfect getaway. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again and highly recommended.

The hotel staff is incredibly kind and always ready to help. The facilities are fantastic — clean, well maintained, and very family-oriented. They even cooked fresh food for our baby every day and delivered it right on time with a smile!
The food is excellent, and there’s a great variety of activities for both kids and adults. Having a supermarket inside the hotel is super convenient for last-minute needs like sunscreen or diapers. There’s also a car rental service and several tour operators on-site offering nice excursion packages.
We loved the thoughtful touches, like the welcome basket with wine and fruits and the olive oil farewell gift. The bus to Chania stops right in front of the hotel, and the little train excursion to the lake is a perfect morning activity.
The hotel app is also very useful — it has all the information you need for your stay.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and took great care of us. The resort is super clean, and our suite was just beautiful and spacious with 2 full baths and great a/c. The food was wonderful in both the main dining area and the resort restaurants. I am an American fluent in Greek so I connected with the staff. They are really nice people. We were there in late July so I don't know if the resort was at full capacity or not, but there were plenty of chairs available on the beach, plenty of room on the pool decks and in the pools. The water park at the back of the resort was so much fun, too. If you don't want to walk to the beach (which seems far, but it's really not) you can go via golf cart. The staff is there to ensure you have and enjoyable stay, and we certainly did. Τα περασαμε πολη καλα, Happy!!

Everything was wonderful. The location right on a quiet little beach, the gorgeous pool area, the rooms and facilities were perfect and the staff very friendly, welcoming and efficient. The bedroom was spacious and well appointed with a very comfortable bed and bathroom, and an outside patio surrounded by lush garden- delightful. Breakfast was a delicious buffet overlooking the pool and beach and varied each day. There was ample on street parking in front of and near the hotel. It is conveniently located near enough to Kissamos for supermarkets etc as well as neighbouring beaches such as Falasarna and Balos. We will be back next time we are in Kissamos.

It was a wonderful stay in Iolida beach, it was so comfortable to be there. There are no luxury design or a lot of events, but it was so cozy, clean and the food was amazing! It was the most delicious all inclusive in my whole live. Stuff was super friendly, we felt like we were at home there. The beach was clean, sea was amazing and we could find sun beds at every time of the day. Our room was a bit far from the beach in second part of the hotel, but we had a wonderful sea view and it was super quiet there

It truly is a family resort - it was so easy to relax when they have everything you need - kid-friendly food, high chairs, shade options, kid pools, blackout blinds, soundproofed room, playgrounds, activities - it was great!!
Great coffee machines! Beautiful view from our room. Food was delicious and the buffet patio overlooking the sea was wonderful.
We rented a car and took a day trip to Chania.

We had such a relaxing week here, everything was perfect. Staff were amazing, the rooms were comfortable and stylish and the facilities amazing. The private beach and pool were great and I loved the morning pilates classes. Breakfast was also wonderful. Our toddler had the time of her life, we can’t wait to come back.

Close to Chania bus station (3 min), clean and comfortable room, and top floor has a lovely rooftop terrace. Facilities are not new; but neatly maintained. Cleaner staff are professional, and hotel staff are well-trained. This hotel is not luxsualy one; but you will feel a Greek heartfelt and simple atomosphere.

The city is great, many nice spots, lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and so on. The city itself is very animated, a lot of people on the streets (in a good way) and lots of young people. Getting around is easy they have a bus system with online timetables, you can get around with that, cycle(you need to be fit), but it is hilly, rent a car or moped.
Municipal Market of Chania was under renovation, so closed. Also most of the museums and such because it was winter.
Water temperature was around 19 Centigrade, and we went in the water every morning.

For those who want a quiet get-away and yet close shopping, Kissamos is hard to beat. Close to the port for Balos-Gramvousa excursions and secluded for a wonderful relaxed time with your loved one. Gramvousa Restaurant is a must, a short drive to a memorable dining experience. Loved snorkeling and fish sightings around rocky areas. Pictures cannot capture the panoramic breath-taking setting.

We had to take our own trash out.

Very good breakfast, and great restaurant
We had to walk on the way to the parking (150meters)
There could be some light on the path.
After getting there the first night (the owner was extremely friendly and waited for us although we arrived quite late 23:30) it was very easy to find our way.
The surroundings are magnificent
You have to be quite alert on the road because the locals drive like crazy.

From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only.
From Souda, the bus is ~10 minutes to Chania for 1.60€ only. No need for rental car nor searching for parking -- just take bus.
Use rental car for pleasure scenic routes into mountains especially Milo's Restaurant. But only during sunlight, not at night!! The trip there is well worthwhile for the food & service, the trip itself is adventurous, scenic & breathtaking because of height.

Lovely little village with very friendly people working in the shops and restaurants. Petra is an amazing family-run restaurant with delicious local specialities run by extremely kind people. We went there on this first night and didn't look elsewhere, kept going back and tried as many Greek specialities as we could.

Good beach with beds and shades.
Good beach with beds and shades. Lovely clear water, great place to swim. Nice tavernas. Great backdrop of the white mountains and the castle when you are in the water.
Not too many people in October but can imagine it would be crowded in high season.
Surrounding area is dry rocky and barren. Come for the beach and Imbros gorge but not for a scenic walk.

There are two places I highly recommend for eating.
There are two places I highly recommend for eating.
One is a restaurant called Arodou Restaurant, and the other is Znkag Bakery & Pastry (sorry, I’m not sure how to spell it in Greek).
Both are very close to Anton’s Home.

If you are in Chania, please eat at Canale!
If you are in Chania, please eat at Canale! This restaurant is absolutely divine! We also had a snack at the sailing club, which is a 500 year old shipyard. The old town is lovely and really worth a walk around! There are many Minoan ruins in town as well. Please go to the archeological museum; its so well done! Aptera is 25 minutes away and so worth the visit! We also went to a lagoon and saw some friendly wild goats! Totally worth a climb, but bring good hiking shoes and be aware of the hairpins in the road and how steep the drive up and down are!

Not really a resort, but a working town, has a small, pretty square with a few bars and tavernas. A few good tavernas and bars down on the seafront. A lot more could be made of the beach with a little effort.
