We absolutely loved everything about Althea Guesthouse! From the moment we parked our car and Machi, the lovely owner, welcomed us in with a big smile, it was obvious that we made the right choice. The place is so beautiful, you can see that they thought about every little detail. It is clean, comfortable (the best beds we had so far in Greece), and the breakfast is amazing. Machi also helped us with our zagori trip plan. she really knows the area and gave us wonderful advice. We really enjoyed our time here, and would totally recommend it!

The hotel is situated in the small village in Zagoria region, right near the famous Vikos Gorge, the trail to the gorge starts just by the village. The hotel has simply decorated and furnitured rooms with all the necessities. Our beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were small but clean with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was relatively simple but fresh, tasty and plenty for the 2 star hotel. The owners and the stuff were very helpful and friendly, they organised the taxi ride for us after the long hike, which was very nice.

Excellent position, on the outskirts of Monodendri, easily accessible by car. Excellent view from the terrace. The room is comfortable and the photos are accurate. Nicely decorated lobby with breakfast area. The host Sousana is so kind, helpful - she let us stay for a late check out and helped us with a taxi transfer when we had problems with our car. She also prepares a very good breakfast, both in terms of taste and quantity. I would recommend Hotel Five Keys to my friends and will stay there again when I visit Zagori.

Perfect location in the magnificent mountain village of Aristi, close to the lovely village square and with convenient parking. The hotel is an attraction by itself: beautiful stone complex, perfectly renovated, with many levels and passages, balconies overlooking the amazing mountains of Zagoria, plants and fruit trees in every corner - the children loved it. Room itself - excellent wifi reception (not trivial!!), comfortable beds, reasonable shower. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel staff were super nice and welcoming :)

The room was really large so we enjoyed the generous space! However, above all - the host was great. We needed to leave before breakfast time and they prepared us the breakfast in the evening to eat it early in our room, which was really nice. We also left some of our stuff in the hotel before hiking the Zagori mountains and picked it up four days later. We are very grateful for keeping it for us as our backpacks were considerably lighter thanks to that :)) So thank you very much for everything, it was a perfect stay!

Very cosy and comfortable hotel conveniently located at the start of Papingo. Ilias and Elena are both very hospitable, friendly and helpful, gave lots of advice on where to hike and what to see in the area and they make excellent coffee and food in the cafe at the front. The rooms are a great size with comfortable beds and spacious clean bathrooms, with lots of natural light as well. This is easily one of the best places to stay in the area and a perfect base for heading into the Zagori mountains.

Kostas our host was super welcoming, my friend and I immediately felt at home thanks to the friendliness and nice touches provided in this family owned hotel. The bedroom was big and cosy, the breakfast was served in front of the fire place with some homemade delicacies (with big quantities, perfect prior a hike in the area), the location is handy to tour around with a nice taverna (Mikri Arkstos) on the village square for dinner. A nice place to stay over to discover the wonders of Zagoria!

Athina Hotel is beautifully located in the peaceful Elati Vilage. The room is beautiful, well equipped, with comfortable bed and magnificent view from the room terrace. The owner was extremely nice, assisted us with finding great restaurants in the vicinity, and pointed out perfect day trips in Zagoria. Breakfast was reach and tasty, including local pastries and coffee as we like it (which they remembered the next day ☺️) We strongly recommend this lovely place!

A family hotel in a lovely village, in my opinion the most worthwhile place in Zagoria. We stayed at the hotel for four nights; Sofia and her two sons, Christos and Theodore were charming, made us feel at home. Spacious rooms, excellent service, generous breakfast. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant with a selection of excellent and delicious dishes. And most importantly, it's their humanity and caring. warmly recommended!

Everything about our stay here was excellent. It's a family run hotel and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The room was immaculate, with a very comfortable bed and the whole hotel was in true Zagori style. Breakfast was so good! There was a wide variety of food to choose from, with quite a few home-made delicacies from the owner. We would love to go back to Monodendri and stay here.

Aberratio Boutique Hotel combines tradition with luxury, offering to each guest an unforgettable experience of hospitality. Consisting of 3 buildings, it is built of stone in total harmony with natural enviroment and architectural standards of Zagori Region. The stay was comfortable, the staff was well mannered and took care of all the minute details. The breakfast was amazing, made with local products.

The Hotel was exceptional, the people are nice and everything is tidy. We had a great time! If you stay in the zagori region, then book this hotel. The tour information that they give are really great! Don't forget to eat at the hotel restaurant. Especially the rose wine with starters is great! Directly from the village there is a really nice hiking path up to a mountain top, 1:30h with great view!

Charming boutique hotel close to all the beautiful attractions in Zagori! The room were beautifully decorated, gave us that cosy mountain feeling, and had all we needed for our four day stay. It was easy to find a parking spot, and the view of the mountains from our room on the first floor was so gorgeous and peaceful. The breakfast and the host were both amazing and made us feel like home!

Wonderful family run hotel and restaurant that was perfect for our 3-day trip to Zagori with our baby and dog. Our room and bed were very comfortable, with mountain views. The breakfast was great, and we also ate dinner at the restaurant twice- everything was fresh, local, homemade, and delicious. The location in Aristi is excellent for exploring beautiful Zagori. Bravo 👏

The hotel was built using a traditional Zagori design and it looked beautiful. The owner, Mr Michalis, and his staff were very friendly and provided excellent service both at the hotel and at the taverna across the road. The breakfast was delicious and included local specialties. We highly recommend Hotel Machalas to anyone wanting to experience the Zagorochoria area.

First of all the location of the Village is ideal to explore the area, located in the middle of Zagori. The hotel was located on the top of the village offering stunning views of the mountains, with very easy access by car. Comfortable bed, very spacey and clean rooms. The owners really warm and friendly and lastly a great breakfast to start the day exploring!!! !

Everything was amazing!!!! Especially the generousity, hospitality and kindness of Miss Eftihia, the hotel manager. WoW!!! This young woman really goes above and beyond to help you and makes your stay feel like people really care that you have the best time ever at their hotel but also in th entire Zagori Area. We will be back with friends!!!

The hotel is simply phenomenal. Centrally located in a very nice village, the hotel has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Zagori. What distinguishes this hotel from others is the stuff. The hotel stuff is professional, very pleasant and is ready to assist even before you ask, like they read your mind. Highly recommended.

The Rodi Hotel is the best! Cris and his family welcomed us very nicely, the rooms were great and clean, The family was very kind to us and supplied everything that we needed. We felt at home! The hotel is in the center of Papigo and the village is near all the best attractions in the Zagori area. We will come back for sure.

My experience at Hotel Monodendri was fantastic -- the warm welcome and kindness of owner and staff, the beautiful and spacious rooms and building, amazing breakfast, and delight of staying in the perfect Zagori town of Monodendri as the leaves turned color this fall made this one of my favorite places in Greece.
