We may have been the only guests, but the receptionist and the kitchen chef were incredibly warm and welcoming. They prepared a wonderful fresh breakfast with a great variety of food, including eggs, pastries, cereals, fruits, and salami. The room was spacious, with a large bathroom and a bathtub. The bed was big and extremely comfortable. We highly recommend this gorgeous little hotel.

It's a great city, but the beaches are not sandy.

It's a great city, but the beaches are not sandy. Hotels are expensive, so consider booking an apartment (lots of super-modern apartments available). Having a car can help you get around. Ubers and Bolts cancel a lot, so give yourself time booking a ride. Halal food is available but you have to ask....

Novalja is a vibrant city with a fantastic atmosphere,...

Novalja is a vibrant city with a fantastic atmosphere, especially in the late evening and early night hours. There is something for everyone here—from family-friendly spots to a bustling nightlife for younger crowds. The broad harbor promenade is perfect for strolling at all hours, lined with charming local shops offering a variety of goods and souvenirs. On the downside, dining out at restaurants can be quite expensive. However, there are plenty of fast-food options serving great food at reasonable prices, as well as local supermarkets if you prefer to buy groceries and cook at home. The city is compact and very easy to navigate, with almost everything within walking distance. It is also well connected by buses and taxis to the local beaches, so you won't need to rely on a car very much to get around. We felt completely safe throughout our stay, making it a great destination for all types of travelers. A few beaches are located very close to the city — including the city beach — which are great for families with children. There are also several beaches tailored to young people, featuring 24/7 party scenes with DJs and beach clubs.

There is a many small piers where you can moor a rented motorboat, and it is also possible to anchor a rented yacht in the bay. There are several restaurants but I especially recommend Restaurant Koceta in Privlaka, about 15 minutes by bike from middle Vir - it is located slightly off the main tourist route, but the food is excellent, especially the grilled fish and calamari, and the prices are very attractive. On Vir itself, Okusi Mora is also worth visiting for good fish and grilled dishes.

I mostly like the 3 types of beaches following each other.

I mostly like the 3 types of beaches following each other. First Plaza Drazice which is a pebble beach, right after is the rocky beach with deeper water and Beach Soline is the sandy beach very child friendly, you can go far in and still the water up to chest. The other massive reason is the natural shade on the beach, lots of trees so it's not a "naked" beach where you are forced to rent an umbrella or two, but we could just be under the trees saving massive amount of money, haven't found similar beach on Croatian shore all my life, if anybody knows 3 different beaches next to each other with natural shade I would really like to know and to visit

This was my first visit to Pag ((the island and the town of pag). I had friends there to show me around. It's a nice, not too big island but big enough to need a car there if you want to make the most of it and do the proper sightseeing of the island Pag. If you're visiting just the town of Pag , car is not needed. Beaches are beautiful. See is clean. Lots of tours or private hires to visit nearby islands. And, you can come to ithe island of pag by ferry. Or just driving (bridge connect the island with the mainland.

We have visited Pakoštane for the fourth time now.

We have visited Pakoštane for the fourth time now. It is a lovely little town with plenty of restaurants and bars. During the season, there is always some kind of entertainment or event taking place in the main square in the evening. Pakoštane has several beautiful beaches; we always visit Pilatuša Beach, which we consider to be the most beautiful one. There are also several excursions that can be taken from the town. We consider Pakoštane to be one of the best holiday destinations in the Zadar region.

For me it was not the best town in the region.

For me it was not the best town in the region. To be fair it had a tough competition. Nin, Vir and Zadar are nearby and have way more options for everything. Including beaches. Zaton has limited options for shopping, supermarkets and restaurants - and pretty much everything revolves around the resort.

A small village, quiet.

A small village, quiet. Limited food options, some of the restaurants were opening at 5PM and quite small, long wait for food in some cases. Food is international, pasta/pizza/burgers/schnitzel, all side dishes comes with french fries, not so good if you look for some special or some veggies. The host told us to let her know if we want some special to order in advance and she will do it for us, but I find this a little bit complicated if you don't want to be tight by a schedule. We went to a 'wild' beach, opposite from the port, perfect for families with small kids, no deep water, if you go in the morning (9AM) you can find also umbrellas, you just need to bring your towels, paid only 4E the parking. Comparing with Sabunike beach were we paid 20E for 2 chezlongs. Zadar city is 20 minutes driving, Nin city 10 minutes driving for evening dinners or to feel the vibes. Krka national park 1.5h driving, Plitvice Jezera 2h driving - both are a must visit.
