Beautifully designed hotel that oozed style and comfort, from the reception and lobby area, to the dining room, hotel room and bathroom. Faultless in all aspects, from the size and design of the room, the toiletries, coffee and tea-making, free water and most importantly for me, excellent black-out curtains, super air-conditioning and comfy bed. Breakfast was lavish, with ample choice. The hotel is a five minute walk away from the main square. Staff were super helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with a car and they helped us sort out parking too.

Boravak u hotelu Phoenix bio je zaista odličan. Bilo nas je devet i od prvog trenutka osjećali smo se kao kod kuće. Osoblje je nevjerojatno ljubazno, susretljivo i uvijek spremno pomoći. Uz to su uvijek bili dobro raspoloženi i spremni na šalu, što je cijeli boravak učinilo još ugodnijim. Svaki naš zahtjev – bilo da se radilo o pegli, dodatnim ručnicima, jacuzziju ili bilo čemu drugom – ispunjen je odmah i bez ikakvog problema. Sve je bilo besprijekorno čisto, sobe su mirne zahvaljujući odličnoj zvučnoj izolaciji, a parking je također veliki plus. Hrana u restoranu je odlična, usluga brza i susretljiva (organizirali smo ručak za 30 ljudi samo dan prije), a doručak raznolik. Rijetko se čovjek osjeća tako dobrodošlo kao ovdje. Hvala cijelom osoblju na gostoprimstvu, ljubaznosti i pozitivnoj atmosferi. Hotel Phoenix od srca preporučujemo svima i sigurno ćemo se vratiti kada ponovno budemo u Sesvetama.

It was a brief and an accidental stay, but I enjoyed every minute of it. The facilities were ok for the price, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast was simple, but ample and tasty, the food and the service in the restaurant serving a la carte were fantastic. There is a nice selection of weights in the little gym and the sauna delivers what you expect from it. And the location... Well, it's Medvedica mountain, what can you say.... Don't think I will ever forget my walk in that mountain park.

Underrated city... I really enjoyed my time here.

Underrated city... I really enjoyed my time here. In July/August it's quiet and less crowded. Fascinating history, many quirky museums, and gorgeous architecture. I was transiting in/out of Zagreb, but spent a few days here, and I'm thrilled that I did. Take a walking tour, hear the cannon at noon (daily), and eat some really delicious food. There are many affordable, quality bakeries, and beautiful parks. Visit a tie shop in a country credited with invented the modern necktie.

It is a nice Modern Hotel.

It is a nice Modern Hotel. Breakfast is absolutely excellent. But it was misleading because they advertised a hotel shuttle to and from the airport which they do not have so therefore it cost us 60 Euros more and would have otherwise stayed at another place if they hadn't lied about that. The rooms are nice one of the two beds was old and squeaky but the other bed was good. Restaurants close to early.

I truly appreciate the warmth and coziness of the room; it felt inviting as soon as we walked in. The cleanliness of the apartment is crucial for me, and I’m delighted to see how well-maintained it is. It’s evident that the owners have poured a lot of care and attention into this space. Their responsiveness to my questions has been outstanding. We definitely plan to return when flying to or from Zagreb. My family members who accompanied me on this trip were equally impressed, and we will certainly recommend this lovely place to our friends and family.

After a long drive, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. She is very nice and polite and left us asmall gift in the fridge. The accomodation seems to be like new = very clean, everything was working great. There is a terrace/balcony with seating that you can enjoy. Very quiet neighbourhood. Few minutes drive from the highway and also few minutes to get to Zagreb city center = great location and absolutely amazing value for money. Thank you very much!

Host offered us tea/coffee/juice when we arrived. We felt at home. She left snacks and cheese plate in the fridge for us. Although we are there for a short night's stay prior to our flight in the early morning, we felt that we could have easily stayed there longer. Very nice room at the back of the house where host stays. Private parking is good. Nice quiet neighborhood.

Zagreb was quite a letdown after being in Budapest Prague...

Zagreb was quite a letdown after being in Budapest Prague and Vienna. The taxi driver at the bus station charged us €65 to go 3 km. He was big and intimidating and we were afraid to just hand him €10 and walk away. That totally spoiled our trip to Zagreb and we would not recommend the city to other people.

The hotel is situated in a suburban area which was a pleasant surprise so close to the airport. Many lovely places to walk in the area with shops and bakeries nearby so the location is ideal. The hotel itself is a wonderfully restored building with lots of history. The dining area seemed like a magnet for maybe locals, which is great for them, but as a visiting tourist we felt a bit like we didn't belong???

Must see yourself to believe :) East part of the city near center, using bus and tramway you are quickly into it, no need to hide & seek for parking :). Near the highway(s), IKEA, lot of larger stores... Great Pizza Hutt.

the room is very nice but in the pictures they don't show all the humidity that is on the walls of the room that is hidden behind the curtains... it is a waste of money to pay to breathe humidity while you are in the room... the host was very disrespectful to me, because according to him I stole the hair dryer from the room simply because he didn't see it in the same place it was. Please make sure before calling a person a thief whether it is true or not. I am still waiting for an apology. Ridiculous

The city exceeded my expectations.

The city exceeded my expectations. I honestly didn't expect anything special, but once we started walking around and sightseeing, the city really took us by surprise. The only downside was that some of the buildings were being renovated, so we couldn't see everything clearly. However, the city was full of parks, trees, beautiful spots, and places to explore. We walked everywhere on foot, but we noticed that public transportation was available throughout the city, so I don't think getting from one place to another would be a problem. In my opinion, two days is enough to see the main sights and get a good feel for the city.
