The location is absolutely perfect. Situated in easy walking distance of both the upper and lower towns. Breakfast has a great selection of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, pastries, meats and cheeses, fresh honeycomb and hot sausages. Eggs are cooked on demand and there is even prosecco if you want it. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have stayed in - ever. And we have travelled a lot. The rooms on the second floor are exceptionally well appointed with gloriously high ceilings. The room was warm - you can control the temperature easily and the lights and plumbing in the bathroom are great. The water pressure is good and the shower is easy to work (you don't have to be a professional safe-cracker to reach the ideal temperature). The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and charming and the overall standard of this hotel was absolutely superb. I cannot think of a single thing that I would change. Complimentary prosecco on arrival and water and chocolates on our departure. The entire experience was a tour de force of professionalism in how to run a hotel and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. Thank you to everyone for a fabulous stay.

It's excellent value for money - convenient location if you are just passing by Zagreb, it's clean, the receptionist was very helpful and nice. The bathroom was a bit strange because the sink was outside in the room and there was no soap. Everything else was exactly what we needed for a very good price.

A very comfortable hotel with a good location. Walking distance (20 minutes) to the city center with many different cafes and restaurants. The hotel has a parking lot, only a space must be reserved. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

I had a fantastic time in Zagreb, Croatia!

I had a fantastic time in Zagreb, Croatia! It’s a great city to explore for a few days. During my visit, I checked out some amazing spots like the Zagreb Cathedral, the Illusion Centre, and the Chocolate Factory, each one was a unique experience. The city also has a vibrant food and drink scene. I enjoyed a few drinks at local spots and tasted some incredible food along the way. Overall, Zagreb is a well-spent city for a short trip, full of culture, fun attractions, and great dining experiences. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a few days of enjoyment in Croatia.

For a one night stop over ideal.

For a one night stop over ideal. I guess as a base for visiting Zagreb would have also been okay but maybe a touch too far from the city. That said it wasn’t too far from a supermarket and a bus stop to get into Zagreb.

I truly appreciate the warmth and coziness of the room; it felt inviting as soon as we walked in. The cleanliness of the apartment is crucial for me, and I’m delighted to see how well-maintained it is. It’s evident that the owners have poured a lot of care and attention into this space. Their responsiveness to my questions has been outstanding. We definitely plan to return when flying to or from Zagreb. My family members who accompanied me on this trip were equally impressed, and we will certainly recommend this lovely place to our friends and family.

Host offered us tea/coffee/juice when we arrived. We felt at home. She left snacks and cheese plate in the fridge for us. Although we are there for a short night's stay prior to our flight in the early morning, we felt that we could have easily stayed there longer. Very nice room at the back of the house where host stays. Private parking is good. Nice quiet neighborhood.

It was an interesting place with quite a lot of history.

It was an interesting place with quite a lot of history. Very good and easy to use public transport. I did self-guided walking tour. I enjoyed the Lotrščak Tower, Cathedral (inside), St. Mark's church (from outside though). I assume spring and summer time would be even nicer. An interesting walk was through the Grič Tunnel. Also a must is the Sljeme Cable Car. Just keep in mind, the ride is more than 20 minutes long, and it goes up to the mountain, so need extra clothes, because the temperature difference is around 10 degrees Celsius.

Velika Gorica is a cosy town with a selection of good restaurants. I especially recommend the Mexican restaurant. It's not for young people who want to party, as everything seems to close at 9-10PM and in Sundays everthing is closed, even the bakeries.

the room is very nice but in the pictures they don't show all the humidity that is on the walls of the room that is hidden behind the curtains... it is a waste of money to pay to breathe humidity while you are in the room... the host was very disrespectful to me, because according to him I stole the hair dryer from the room simply because he didn't see it in the same place it was. Please make sure before calling a person a thief whether it is true or not. I am still waiting for an apology. Ridiculous

We really liked Zagreb’s relaxed atmosphere, beautiful old town, and how walkable everything is. The cafés and parks were a highlight, especially for families. The only downside was that some areas can be quite busy during peak hours, but overall it’s a very charming and welcoming city. Our tip: explore the city on foot and take time to enjoy the local cafés. Our favourite places in Zagreb were definitely the many cute cafés and bakeries with fresh pastries — perfect for relaxing and people-watching. We also really enjoyed visiting Video Game History Museum, which was so fun to explore even on old consoles, and Museum of Illusions — a brilliant way to spend time with interactive exhibits and optical illusions Our tips for other visitors: take time to explore the cafés in Tkalčićeva Street area, try a coffee or pastry in one of the local spots, and don’t miss the playful museums — they’re great for couples and families alike!

I chose Velika Gorica because it was close to the airport, but could have easily spent another day there visiting the shops and cafes. It would be a great place to stay for a few days of downtime. Unfortunately, I was only there for one night.
