We liked everything about this hotel. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful. The decor was lovely and the rooms were spacious. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and we ate dinner at Russels in the hotel. It was the most delicious dinner we have eaten while visiting Ireland.

The room was gorgeous. Fine linens adorned the bed, and charming sconces were on our walls, and the walls were covered in lovely wallpaper. It was a warm and inviting room with a window that had a sea view. We could not have asked for more. The restaurant/pub has a lovely live fire that was warm and glowing on a chilly day. Breakfast is served in a room that looks like a drawing room in an old manor home - exquisite in all details. Breakfast is huge with everything that you could ever wish to eat. The staff are cheerful and informative. There is a lovely glass room at the front of the hotel that overlooks the sea and just invites you to have a cup of tea there. We loved it and will definitely return!

This is an independent, locally owned property - it was a pleasure to stay here. The building was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Staff were so very helpful and professional in their interactions. Besides the hotel, the building contains a lovely restaurant (fish and chips cooked to perfection) and a charming pub - Shannon Springs Hotel is a great place to recharge before or after a long flight in or out of Shannon Airport. There are bus stops immediately outside the building and you can be whisked there within minutes.

Charming little town with quick access to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher. The pubs in town pride themselves on showcasing traditional Irish music and nobody does it better... and may I say the Irish Stew at McDermotts Pub is AMAZING! Add the Doolin Caves to the mix and this Irish town is a Winner!!!

Killaloe / Ballina is a beautiful twin town spanning the river Shannon. Great river walks, the old road bridge is now pedestrianised making it easy to go from the Ballina to the Killaloe side and vice versa. There's a variety of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs with indoor and outdoor areas. The Lakeside Hotel Killaloe (on the Ballina side) serves excellent food and drinks. Avoid the Bóruna Gastro Pub for now, it's dirty and the service is poor, could be great with it's rooftop bar but needs a refresh of the property and attitudes. Tuscany Bistro on the Ballina side serves excellent food in with great service Raw Interiors serves great food and coffee on the Killaloe side quirky building and great service

Difficult to find. No silage on the road leading to the house no sign outside the house. No light outside the door for a guest coming in at night. Used my phone light to unlock door. Owner's room upstairs bathroom was between the rooms. No privacy! Breakfast was small. Tea made from a teabag in a cup. No teapot..No cereals left out. For the money paid it was very poor.
