Our first stop in Ireland was Cork. We didn't know the area, but it turned out to be the perfect location! We could walk to everything! The lady at the reception desk, I wish I could remember her name, but she was fabulous!! She gave us a lovely room and let us check in early. Since we flew into Dublin from the US, we never slept, and we were so exhausted. We were able to sleep 4 hours before exploring about the town. The parking was also convenient! Right across the street.

Kinsale is one of my favourite places in Ireland, we love the chilled vibe of the town, the quirky streets and shops, fantastic coffee shops, bakeries, craft shops and of course its famous restaurants. I would recommend the walking Tour (Jason's) that leaves from the Visitor Centre, and the fantastic Harbour Boat Tour, and if your mobile a visit to Cork City and the beautiful and historic town of Cobh.

We went back into the town to see the Twomey butcher shop. The square at the Michael Collins Statute is lovely there was market with interesting crafts.

Went there specifically re-live my grandparent’s emigrating experience from there—and the Queenstown experience next-door at the Cobh Heritage Center was so much more than I ever had hoped for! I left feeling I had a better idea of what my Dad and grandmother had gone through.

Was in line at the Blarney Castle when it opened and was able to make my way directly to the Blarney Stone which meant I didn't have to wait in a long line up. It was interesting to explore the castle and learn about the history and purpose of the rooms. The gardens at the castle were nice to walk around as well and the stables were impressive.

First Class - excellent staff throughout the Hotel - highly professional and friendly with it. Main dining room has to be experienced - attendance is an event in itself. Lovely food served in a timely way. Waiting staff are great to watch at work and they do what they do in a quiet but showy way. Lovely to sit in the hall and enjoy the two log fires and the comfy arm-chairs. A relaxing stay at a lovely hotel in a great location. Old fashioned but we like it that way - no squeaky floorboards - calm and quiet.

We were only passing through and stayed for one night. It's an easy place to find your way around in. Has a number of good pubs for a drink or two and good restaurants. We had an excellent dinner at Salinas Bistro which does a mix of Middle-Eastern and Irish dishes.

The proximity to Ballyhass water park was very convenient.

The proximity to Ballyhass water park was very convenient. Unfortunately, the restaurants close very early (between 9 and 10 pm). So it is very difficult to get a decent late meal. We would recommend the Khao Asian restaurant, it was fantastic. We would NOT recommend rhe Hibernian Hotel. The food is absolutely awful.
