Great atmosphere, twelve check out and breakfast until twelve, it's so handy because you don't have to rush for breakfast and back to the room, like in other places. Breakfast was really fresh, the bedrooms are lovely and the place is spotless

Thank you, I enjoyed my stay at the Headfort Arms Hotel. It places you in an environment reminiscent of old times in a charming way. :) The room was nice, the bad was comfortable, and I appreciated the cleanliness. There was even an iron and desk available in the room. The breakfast was good and tasty

We had such a wonderful stay at Trim Castle Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the warm Irish welcome was everywhere, but two people really made our trip extra special: Chef Mr. Leon and Front Desk Staff Ms. Niamh. Chef Leon is an absolute gem — his food was delicious, but what really stood out was how genuinely friendly and passionate he was. And Ms. Niamh at the front desk? She was just lovely - always smiling, super helpful, and made us feel like old friends. Breakfast The breakfast was one of the highlights! Chef Leon’s full Irish was perfectly cooked, with the freshest ingredients and that lovely personal touch - he even popped out to say hello and chat about the local produce. Everything was hot, generous, and made with real care. We looked forward to it every morning. Room Our room was bright, spotlessly clean, and super comfortable. The bed was like a dream, and we loved the little seating area by the window where we could relax with a cup of tea. It felt cozy and welcoming, like a proper home away from home. Location The location is perfect - right in the heart of Trim with Trim Castle literally a short stroll away. We could walk to the shops, pubs, and the beautiful riverside walks in minutes. It made exploring so easy and relaxing. What did you like? What went well? Everything about our stay felt personal and thoughtful. The staff went out of their way to make us feel special, the food was outstanding, and the hotel itself has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We were seriously impressed by how much heart Chef Leon and Ms. Niamh put into their roles — they’re real assets to the hotel and honestly represent the very best of Trim and Irish hospitality.

This is a lovely hotel. It was well placed for us as we have family in Laytown and we had come over for a flying visit. The rooms were lovely, clean spacious and more importantly, warm! The restaurant is fab, we had breakfast which was tasty and plentiful and had a family meal there one evening which was amazing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

It's very difficult for me to answer these questions because I am not a tourist - I came to my home town to see friends and relations. But yes, it's a lovely place to visit. Everything accessible especially if you drive and Ubers are available. The Ramparts are well worth visiting as is the library, the Solistice Theatre, the two churches one of which was built by my great-great-great-great uncle, a very good general parking area The Fair Green, the Round Tower outside Navan (Dunmoe) and a good choice of restaurants of various types. Good choice of buses to and from Dublin Airport. Very historic sites in the area including Slane Castle, the village of Slane, etc.

Trim is the best town in County Meath, in my opinion. Many great restaurants, very walkable with a scenic river walk and views of the castle. Lots of places to park. The residents and shop owners take pride in their town and the vibe is overall very high. Touring Trim Castle was a highlight! For someone looking for a base to visit Bru na Boinne, Hill of Tara, Mellifont Abbey, and the other sites in Co. Meath, I highly recommend Trim.

My walk up to the Hill of Slane at 7 PM was delightful. I mostly had the Slane Abby to myself and it was magical. A ruined abby and graveyard with cows grazing nearby. A gorgeous Monkey Puzzle Tree with swirling rooks calling out made it very atmospheric. I got lost in the place for 2 hours.

Myself and my husband and three kids loved our stay at the Pillo hotel. So convenient plenty of parking. The pool and jacuzzi are amazing. They also have a little arcade & kids club & the kids were so content & happy. Everyone is so chilled because it’s so child friendly, perfect getaway for families. Our room was so spacious & had loads of extra towels. We had a great sleep the 5 of us. Beds are so comfortable

Beautiful setting and grounds, eager anticipation of a great stay was however quickly dissipated at reception where we were told the room we had already paid for was not available. We were downgraded from a 2 roomed lodge, more appropriate for us and our adult daughter, to a family room, more appropriate for a family with young child. Took several visits to reception to establish what seems to be a paltry and arbitrary partial refund, not even any goodwill compensation offered. We were there for a close friend's wedding so did not want the issue to suck any more energy and joy out of us so didn't kick up more of a fuss. Future visitors, please stick to your guns and get the room you paid for. Other than that the event was great, facilities were very good, breakfast and wedding meals were just lovely. Maybe they could have waived our breakfast fee for the room mix up?

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.
