The hotel was busy, but we didn't notice any noise from the party on the main floor. The room was comfortable and breakfast was great.

The Lodge was very comfortable in a rural setting. The bed was very comfortable and the living area spacious. I didn't expect any breakfast but we were pleased to discover eggs were provided for us to cook breakfast.

So nice! Great value and good location. Rooms are brand new and they feel clean and modern. Even when I spilled lucozade all over the bed they were really nice about it. The bathroom mirrors had a built in light which makes you look fab before you leave, which I would like to install in my own home...

FAQs about hotels in Trim

What guests said about Trim:

Trim is the best town in County Meath, in my opinion.

Trim is the best town in County Meath, in my opinion. Many great restaurants, very walkable with a scenic river walk and views of the castle. Lots of places to park. The residents and shop owners take pride in their town and the vibe is overall very high. Touring Trim Castle was a highlight! For someone looking for a base to visit Bru na Boinne, Hill of Tara, Mellifont Abbey, and the other sites in Co. Meath, I highly recommend Trim.

Mary was an excellent host.

Mary was an excellent host. She accommodated our early morning day trip departure and was very gracious about this. The room, bathroom, and breakfast room/lounge were all excellent, spotless, and very welcoming. Mary made us feel like family; in fact, we met some of her extended family! The breakfast was ample, beautifully presented, and delicious. Meeting our hosts is our favorite part of our travels and is the reason we prefer B&Bs. I highly recommend Knightsbrook Guesthouse and spending two nights in Trim, Ireland. There is much to see in the area: we went to Trim Castle, Bru na Boinne, Battle of Boyne site, and the Hill of Tara. Trim is a lovely, clean town with sufficient restaurants, grocery stores, and greenways. If you are interested in neolothic passage tombs, don't miss Bru na Boinne. You will need to book a tour at least a month in advance, but it is well worth it. They bring small groups for a guided tour of an intact 5,000-year-old passage tomb. Remarkable and so much better than Stonehenge.

Only 35 mins drive from Dublin. Beautiful walking town. We loved the guide at the castle, well worth doing. We popped over to the The Stonewall cafe afterwards for lovely service and coffee. We stayed in the Trim castle hotel and loved it.

The town have everything you need, small cafe for lunch walking was just nice for both of us as we are over 66 years old. Back to the hotel for a good rest and dinner the staff look after us very well, both my wife catherine and myself have been going down to trim and to the hotel 2 to 3 time a year for the last 10 years. P.S.do not change anything Pat Rooney

Our room had a small balcony overlooking the garden. We were able to walk to town via the river walk, which Mary suggested, to see the town of Trim and have dinner. The breakfast was wonderful. This was our first night in Ireland and it was a great place to stay.
