Very clean, spacious and well furnished room with all amenities including kettle, tea and coffee. Great view to Gangtok and surroundings. 3 minutes walk to Ganesh tok where you also can see Kanchenjunga range if go 100 meters further. Himalayan zoo there as well. 15 minutes walk down to Enchey gompa and 15 minutes more to Ridge, Orchidarium and Royal palace. Very helpful staff, tasty food and good room service.

My stay at Mayfair Resort & Casino in Sikkim was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the property’s stunning architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and serene mountain surroundings. The resort perfectly blends luxury with the natural charm of Sikkim, creating a peaceful yet indulgent escape. The spa offers amazing treatments with the same level of service. I had a Balinese massage and salt scrub, perfect remedy for jet lag. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with elegant interiors and all modern amenities. Waking up to the crisp mountain air and scenic views was truly refreshing. The dining experience was equally impressive, with a wide variety of delicious dishes and impeccable service. Every meal felt special. What truly made the stay outstanding, however, was the warmth and professionalism of the reception team. Simon, Shreya, and Giri went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my visit was seamless. They were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their genuine hospitality made me feel valued and cared for throughout my stay, and they are a true credit to the resort.

Love how people are so helpful & respectful here. No one cares about how you're looking or what you're wearing.Felt pretty safe as a woman in gangtok. Taxi stands are at a convenient location from MG marg within the walking distance. Street food (food from local shops is the best) & Resturant wise, we had a few meals at Anola, which tasted excellent. The local shop serves the best cappuccino and the burgers . The laphing was also good there. Loved the ambience. The Hostel Mellow fellow was our stay for 3 days, you'll meet one of the best people here. The orchidarium is a must visit for an anthofile. It felt heavenly.

People should come for Peling for seeing might Kanchenjunga...

People should come for Peling for seeing might Kanchenjunga Ranges. Peling sky walk, Bird park, Rabdentse Ruins, Rimbi water falls, Khechepori lake, Kanchenjunga falls are good. Orange park is a joke. In Orange non season people are selling orange Juice. Entry Fee 30Rs per person, Fee for toilets 10Rs per person, Fee for parking 30Rs for Car too much for this place. Peling sky walk changes 100Rs per person. Again we have to give 10Rs per person for use of Toilet. Rabdentse Ruins need proper sign boards. There is lot to walk to reach the ruins. Toilets are free to use. But no maintainnense.

Lachung is a raw place to explore. It is not for those who expect luxury. It is a place where you experience nature at its best. With Yumthang Valley and Zero Point being key attractions, it is for those who can go an extra mile beyond their comfort zones to experience nature at its best.

Hotel is fine for stay. We had dinner and breakfast. The taste and quantity was fine. Only improvement needed is room service which was very poor. Second things is the staff was not responsible they didn't provide any information for hotel stay and food once you reached. We have to ask for everything.

Ravangla is a great place.

Ravangla is a great place. But about Karma Homestay, there was nothing to like about the place. Water was seeping out of the floor, The whole place was damp, Big tarantula sized spiders were roaming the place including the washroom. Rotting and decaying wood was protruding from the window frame of the washroom and other places. There was terrible foul smell emanating from the washroom and the whole place. The wall of the washroom was tilted to one side. There was mould all around the place, a very old place with only superficial maintenance. Bright colour paint and cheap decoration adorned the place. I couldn't stand the place any longer and left within 1-2 hours of checking-in at around 1040 PM in a heavy rainy condition at Ravangla on 20 May 2026 and was fortunate to be be able to check in at the Buddha Retreat hotel at that late hour. The owner of Karma Homestay was shameless enough to accept Rs.3000/-from us through G-Pay for the horrid stay of a couple of hours at the time of leaving the place. The owner kept on shouting and abusing that there were no issues with the accommodation and that we were being fussy, his wife was shouting from inside a room for confirming that they had received the payment even after the money was paid. Overall a sickening experience of my life. I would rather stay under the open sky or under a tree than tolerate the sickening foul smell, large spiders, seepage, horrid ambience of the place and the shameless greedy host of the place. Yes I have clicked a few photos of the accommodation's condition.

Namchi is the heart of South Sikkim.

Namchi is the heart of South Sikkim. The Char Dham, Samdruptse, Temi Tea Garden, and Buddha Park, Ravangla are an absolute delight. I would also recommend hiking in Tedong Hilltop if you really like adventure and nature. Usually, people book packages that make them stay in Pelling. However, I would recommend staying in Namchi as it is a bigger city than Pelling. You would find more options for food, restaurants, hotels, and homestays here.

If you want to experience Snow then plan Gangtok tour from...

If you want to experience Snow then plan Gangtok tour from March to May. If you're travelling with child or OLD people then it's better to avoid North Sikkim tour. If you are planning for Nathula then make sure to give all your documents one day before of your journey.

Disappointing.

Disappointing. There's not really a town or village, just a collection of hotel properties all mountain-facing. A few tourist attractions including a Skywalk and cable car... but very little to the place overall.

Everything is in just proportion at Ravangla.

Everything is in just proportion at Ravangla. If you need to hang around there, stay at the town. If you need serenity and calm all around Stay at Mt. Narsing Village Resort and similar village properties around. And there is the mighty mountains to greet you from every angle if you are lucky.
