The location is ideal for exploring Agrigento. You can easily combine a beach visit, just a 3-minute walk away, with a trip to the Valley of the Temples, which is only a 15-minute drive. Agrigento je mesto, ki želi, da ga začutiš. Ni največje, ima ulice, ki niso lepe. Če pa si vzameš čas, ga začutiš, si v njem zjutraj, zgodaj zjutraj, potem ti ponudi vse in še več. Kristalno morje spodaj, dolina templjev lučaj poleg, ulice, cerkve, trgi znotraj Agrigenta...lepo, zelo lepo.

Great fish restaurant and well stocked supermarket. A good area to stay if visiting Valley of the Temples but be prepared to drive everywhere and use main roads. Don’t let google maps take you up unmade roads!

Dangerous to walk around. i am not really into ruins, my friend was. better ruins in rome. museum was a nice looking building with a good amount of artifacts. but you had to drive to it... as always you pay for everything including the parking on a lousy rock filled dirt road.

B&B Arena was the perfect spot to stop on our Sicily road trip. It is a few steps to the beach, rooms were clean and bed was very comfortable. The beach is sandy, and free to access. There is also a small restaurant that has lovely pasta and pizza (at the south end of the beachfront). I hope I can return to Sicily and stay with Sirena again!

Our stay in Zingarello was delightful.

Our stay in Zingarello was delightful. The highlights of the trip were the beach, and our visit to the Valle dei Templi, a fantastic archeological site w/ Greek temples dating back to 600 BC. The duomo and nearby church of Santa Maria dei Greci are also well worth seeing. Many good restaurants close by.

Valley of the Temples is obviously a must visit but Agrigento is also worth a visit in it's own right as a lively hill top village with lots to see, a lovely feel with it's intimate streetscape, great shopping and lots of nice places to eat.

We arrived from the Netherlands, but we both are Hungarians, so we needed to get used with the Italian lifestyle, like the siesta time, when there almost nothing is opened to get some food or drink. In exchange the places like restaurants are opened till late night. You also need to pay attention during riding by car, the traffic a little bit hectic, but it is easy too deal with it.
