We had an excellent stay at Colleverde Park Hotel. The staff were genuinely kind and caring — from the front desk to all the team members we interacted with. They were always helpful, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The location is perfect, right next to the Valley of the Temples, with beautiful views over the archaeological site from the garden and terrace. The breakfast was of great quality with a good variety every day. We also appreciated having private parking on site, which was very convenient. We tried three different restaurants nearby that the staff recommended, and all of them served excellent food. Everything about our stay was smooth and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

Secluded, little oasis with wonderful staff who are available to help with anything, in particular, Milena. Breakfast by the pool was lovely and a good chance to chat with fellow travellers and exchange ideas. As ever, wasps are a constant PIA!!!!

I've seen other greek/roman structures but these were the biggest. well preserved but be ready for a long walk around the dusty road. Dont go at night as its hard to walk outside the main path.

Most tourists head straight to the Valley of the Temples - and up to a day traversing the large spread out plateau of world renowned temples. Agrigento - the town - is well worth exploring too. It gets a lot of bad press for being an 'uncontrolled expanse of non-descript post war buildings, elevated motorway etc....', but has a hilly, historic core of alleys and variety of buildings to match most towns in Sicily. There are areas which have been neglected and appear run-down, but there is also some creative re-development. Restaurants prices are particularly reasonable, and many are located on picturesque stairway terraces, close to lively shopping streets. I didn't get the chance to visit local beaches, but there are several to chose from.

The place is small relative to other cities with similar Sicilian style houses and roads with an easily accessible center of you stay at a property near the center - otherwise mountainous. You need to visit the valey of the temples - a must and do pay the 3 euro to go from the parking to the other side (the top) and then stroll downwards. No good beaches around there,.

The cultural sites are extraordinary and it's not too hard...

The cultural sites are extraordinary and it's not too hard to navigate without a rental car. It's not crammed with tourists like other places in Sicily. However, it should be noted that the trains are not running from Palermo until fall of 2026. My guidebooks said it was a 2 hour train ride and it was actually a 3.5 hour bus ride, making it unsuitable for a day trip unless you're doing a day trip tour that includes transportation. Also, the bus I was scheduled for never showed up in Palermo and there is poor signage in Palermo's central station, so it's likely to take even longer than 3.5 hours.

The travel advice say to whizz by here. They are wrong. It exceeded my expectations. Not only does it have the valley of the temples, but the museum is excellent, there’s the Turkish steps, the old town is great and the shops are far more affordable for quality items than other Insta tourist areas, and the beaches are soft sand, tourquoise waters and reasonable parking fees.

Agrigento region has the best of both worlds.

Agrigento region has the best of both worlds. If you like history, the Valley of the Temples is a most. I would try a guided tour so that history enthusiasts would enjoy all the history within the park and would learn Sicilian History as well. Also, there are various beaches nearby that are available to visit as well as Scala Dei Turchi (Turkish Stairs). I would avoid Agrigento Center if you have roller luggage because of the steep stairs and parking area at the bottom part of the city. Food is affordable everywhere.

The property is a little bit out of the way, in the middle of a beautiful landscape. You will learn about life in a small village in Sicily. The rooms are extremely big and comfortable. The host was EXTREMELY helpful. We had an accident right before arriving and he helped us a lot improvising to fix the car and taking my grown-up daughters to the Scala dei Turchi while we were taking care of the car. THANK YOU! We had dinner at the family owned restaurant, which was crowded, where you get a LOT of food ;-) and which you reach by foot!

The host is the warmest, amicable and friendliest we encountered during out tour throught Sicily. The establishment is super clean, new, stylish refurbished. Breakfast is all fresh with multiple choices. This is a must stay place when travelling though/to Agrigento. The neighbourhood is very calm and it's a 5min walk to the center.

The accommodation was clean, peaceful and quiet. The host was perfect, always checking to see if I needed anything and if everything was okay. Parking in a closed yard was a big advantage. The breakfast was great and was always ready at the agreed time. I'll come back again someday when I go to Sicily again.

It is the best location we stayed in on our tour of Sicily. The host was very extremely kind to us and she made our stay extraordinary. The apartment is new and very clean and the view is directly towards the columns. We recommend this location, don't miss it if you come to Agrigento!
