We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Casa Nostra is located in the heart of the city, few meters away from Massimo Theatre. The junior suite are excellent in every way, the staff and the team are very helpful and very warm. The garden is really magnificent, it is very pleasant to take your breakfast outside on the terrace. We'll definitely come back.

Absolutely stunning location and small hotel!! In the mid of the action within 100 meters, but 100 meters ways enough, so that it's quite and safe. Loved it! The team organized a mini-van transfer for us from the airport and back and everything was very reliable. Book it you won't regret it :)

FAQs about hotels in Palermo

A Symbol of Sicily

Edgy and eclectic, Palermo is a symbol of all that Sicily stands for. From buzzing Vespas to the bustling Vucciria market, it simply brims with life.

Wonderful Palermo Cathedral glows radiantly in the Mediterranean sun. Nearby is the city’s last Sicilian Puppet Theatre, and opposite is a palm-filled park housing Roman mosaics, though the best are in the archaeological museum. At one end is the Norman Palace, a government building home to the fabulous Cappella Palatina whose gold mosaics are absolutely breathtaking.

Equally magnificent are the gold mosaics lining 12th-century Monreale Cathedral on the city’s outskirts. Wander the cloisters and note the varying columns and capitals – each pair is different.

Palermo also has fascinating churches: 2 of the oldest are 12th-century San Giovanni degli Eremeti and San Cataldo, each with red, Islamic-style domes. Gesú Church has an incredible Sicilian Baroque interior, while La Martorana’s frescoes are awe-inspiring. A street away is Quattro Canti, a crossroads with a fountain at each corner.

Other attractions include round Teatro Massimo, Mondello beach and Monte Pellegrino mountain overlooking the sea. You get fabulous views of this picnic spot as you fly into Palermo Airport before heading to your Booking.com accommodation.

It's a terribly noisy, incredibly dirty and rundown city.

It's a terribly noisy, incredibly dirty and rundown city. You can literally wade ankle-deep in garbage. People drive like crazy and it's dangerous to be on the roads. I haven't traveled to many places that I can say I would never go back to again, even if they paid me, but this is definitely one of them.

We absolutely loved Palermo!

We absolutely loved Palermo! ❤️ The food, atmosphere, beautiful streets and amazing restaurants made our stay unforgettable. The local restaurant recommendations were fantastic and helped us discover some wonderful places. The city can be busy and a little chaotic at times, but that’s also part of its unique charm. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Palermo to others! 🇮🇹😍

Palermo is a fantastic city with amazing atmosphere, beautiful streets and some of the best street food we’ve ever tried. However, the city is unfortunately very dirty, with rubbish everywhere in many areas. Parking can also be a real problem, especially in the busy parts of the city. Overall, worth visiting, but be prepared for the mess and difficult parking.

Palermo is a beautiful and vibrant city with lots to see and explore. We especially enjoyed walking around the historic center and discovering the charming streets and local markets. There are many great places to eat, with delicious local food and plenty of options for families. The city is quite easy to explore on foot, although some streets can be busy. We also enjoyed spending time together as a family and exploring the city at a relaxed pace.

Palermo is a vast city -we stayed 4 nights As independant travellers using public transport. Buses were over crowded-not easy to get around & no where to be seen were the tourist free public buses. Taxis will cost you Euro15 for about a Km. There are various HOP ON HOP OFF buses which maybe the best thing to do if you are in a hurry-not cheap

Palermo was unfortunately one of the most disappointing stops of our trip. The city felt very dirty and poorly maintained, and in several areas we did not feel particularly comfortable or safe, especially at night. We encountered a lot of people and situations that made some neighborhoods feel quite shady. We also found that there was surprisingly little to do compared with how much Palermo is promoted on social media. After seeing so many beautiful videos and recommendations online, our expectations were much higher, but the reality felt very different. The city itself did not offer enough for us to justify spending several days there. Overall, Palermo felt extremely overhyped on social media and was simply not for us. I would personally recommend spending more time exploring other parts of Sicily instead.

I came to Palermo to work remotely while staying close to the best parts of the city, and this place couldn’t have been a better fit. The location is ideal, and the host was incredibly gracious and genuinely helpful with everything I needed. What really stood out was the extra effort—especially helping me find a great place to work after check-out so I could make the most of my last day. Very easy to recommend. I’d gladly stay here again and hope to return for more time in Palermo and Sicily.

Always a fantastic experience at the Casa Nostra Boutique Hotel. Spectacular room, well-maintained and clean, with a spacious shower and a view of the rooftops of Palermo. Breakfast was absolutely unique, sweet and savory, with typical Sicilian and Italian products. I love it. Excellent location: right in the center. You can get around on foot to see the markets and main monuments. Thanks to all the staff for their attention.
