I had an absolutely lovely stay here, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I felt they went over and above - even giving me a small gift upon departure! The breakfast spread was fantastic, I was travelling alone and there was a huge variety to choose from, I wished I could have eaten it all. The pool area was beautiful and very tranquil (I used it early morning between 09:00-10:30 as it did seem to get busier in the afternoons). Very comfy bed and plenty of space in the room. Would definitely recommend, overall a fantastic stay!

Edgy and eclectic, Palermo is a symbol of all that Sicily stands for. From buzzing Vespas to the bustling Vucciria market, it simply brims with life.
Wonderful Palermo Cathedral glows radiantly in the Mediterranean sun. Nearby is the city’s last Sicilian Puppet Theatre, and opposite is a palm-filled park housing Roman mosaics, though the best are in the archaeological museum. At one end is the Norman Palace, a government building home to the fabulous Cappella Palatina whose gold mosaics are absolutely breathtaking.
Equally magnificent are the gold mosaics lining 12th-century Monreale Cathedral on the city’s outskirts. Wander the cloisters and note the varying columns and capitals – each pair is different.
Palermo also has fascinating churches: 2 of the oldest are 12th-century San Giovanni degli Eremeti and San Cataldo, each with red, Islamic-style domes. Gesú Church has an incredible Sicilian Baroque interior, while La Martorana’s frescoes are awe-inspiring. A street away is Quattro Canti, a crossroads with a fountain at each corner.
Other attractions include round Teatro Massimo, Mondello beach and Monte Pellegrino mountain overlooking the sea. You get fabulous views of this picnic spot as you fly into Palermo Airport before heading to your Booking.com accommodation.

There’s a lot to do and see in Palermo but five days was enough. Enjoyed the tours and learning about the history of the city. Fantastic eating both street food and restaurants. The city is grumpy and that took a little bit of time getting used to.

Nice city with a really good vibe, with lovely people always willing to help and engage with you. Adorable and memorable food, specially if you like sea food, one of the best I ever had.
Unfortunately the city is not well treated, you see it's dirty and it would deserved to be cleaned properly. It's a pity.
The Cathedral is outstanding as it is the Massimo Theater. The highlight of my trip was the sunset at Barcarello Beach. Just like a dream!

Stayed 3 nights in Palermo. Felt 2 nights too much. Very busy streets. We were travelling with young kids, so probably also not the best. Would recommend you flight in or out only and potentially even skip a night there. What is really there to see, specially if you don't enter all sites, can be done in a day. The lively food markets are interesting, but if you come from similar cultures, its probably nothing you haven't seen before.

Get ready to be surprised and navigate between very beautiful and very ugly environments.
We went to everything on foot, visited every monument, very hot but still bearable if you drink enough water. We stayed 8 nights but one day was just relaxing, no visits. Could have done it in 5 and spare a day or two for Catania, Syracuse or other smal cities in Sicily.
Chose wisely where you eat.

We went to Palermo to visit my husbands family and my grandparents are from Sicily also. Have been to Palermo many times and each time, it is more beautiful. Best of all and not because I am Sicilian, but any person, whether in our hotel, restaurants, walking around the city, the Sicilian people are the most kind and helpful people you would ever want to meet. The city is a beautiful blend of old and new and never saw so many many tourists in Palermo!!! My grandchildren absolutely loved the beaches, the food and feeling their Sicilian heritage!!❤️💖😍

Palermo had an authentically real feel....Staying there gave you a taste of what life might be like living there....simple, not materialistic, happy. I could not get enough of the markets...the characteristic vendor-yelling and music and products put me in my happy place. Recommend if you are going to purchase mementos from Sicily, pick them up here -- the prices were higher once we left Palermo.
The property is located in best part of Palermo. It is basically a cross the street from Palermo Cathedral. The Apartment is on ground floor and it is decorated with a lot details and objects from Sicily.

The stay at the liberty house was perfect. The location is well communicated, bus stop to the center of Palermo, Mondello and the airport is next to the block. Hosts are very helpful and polite. If we come back to Sicily, we will definitely choose this place again. Regards from Poland
