Absolutely stunning location and small hotel!! In the mid of the action within 100 meters, but 100 meters ways enough, so that it's quite and safe. Loved it! The team organized a mini-van transfer for us from the airport and back and everything was very reliable. Book it you won't regret it :)

The hotel has a good vibe, a modern feel to it. Our room was spacious and the shower cabin of a very good size. Having said this, the best thing about this hotel is its team! Great people in every area, from reception to restaurant and cleaning. They made sure that every request we put in front of them was met. Breakfast options are superb, freshly made and tasty, also nicely presented. The car company they arranged was good, recommendations for eating out came with their explanations about why they liked those places. The one we tried, A’nica, served really lovely food. Compliments to the Spasimo staff!

We are a couple who initially booked a two-night stay in a double room with a balcony. To our delight, we were upgraded to the suite upon arrival. The room was absolutely exceptional—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Inspired by the experience, we inquired about extending our stay for an additional night. Although the hotel was fully booked, I reached out directly to express our interest. To our surprise and great joy, the hotel promptly responded and confirmed availability of the suite for one more night. The process was seamless and handled with genuine hospitality. Truly outstanding service. Breakfast was a highlight each morning. The buffet offered a superb selection, including scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, a variety of Italian breads and delicacies, mini pancakes, Belgian waffles, cheeses, cold cuts, jams served in charming glass jars, and muesli accompanied by several types of yogurt. On certain mornings, a chilled bottle of Prosecco was also available, adding a luxurious touch. Coffee was served upon request by the attentive and friendly staff, who were consistently present and accommodating throughout breakfast. Their warmth and professionalism greatly enhanced our experience. We can’t wait to return—this stay exceeded all expectations!

FAQs about hotels in Palermo

A Symbol of Sicily

Edgy and eclectic, Palermo is a symbol of all that Sicily stands for. From buzzing Vespas to the bustling Vucciria market, it simply brims with life.

Wonderful Palermo Cathedral glows radiantly in the Mediterranean sun. Nearby is the city’s last Sicilian Puppet Theatre, and opposite is a palm-filled park housing Roman mosaics, though the best are in the archaeological museum. At one end is the Norman Palace, a government building home to the fabulous Cappella Palatina whose gold mosaics are absolutely breathtaking.

Equally magnificent are the gold mosaics lining 12th-century Monreale Cathedral on the city’s outskirts. Wander the cloisters and note the varying columns and capitals – each pair is different.

Palermo also has fascinating churches: 2 of the oldest are 12th-century San Giovanni degli Eremeti and San Cataldo, each with red, Islamic-style domes. Gesú Church has an incredible Sicilian Baroque interior, while La Martorana’s frescoes are awe-inspiring. A street away is Quattro Canti, a crossroads with a fountain at each corner.

Other attractions include round Teatro Massimo, Mondello beach and Monte Pellegrino mountain overlooking the sea. You get fabulous views of this picnic spot as you fly into Palermo Airport before heading to your Booking.com accommodation.

Palermo is a beautiful city, rich in history, beautiful people, and a lot of great food. We were there for two weeks, and we are already planning our next trip to Sicily. We rented an apartment in the historic area of Palermo, which was centered amongst markets, restaurants, shops, etc. It is easy to walk 15K or 20K steps per day, because there is beauty in every direction. We love Sicily and we love Palermo!!

The centre of the old town, it was clean compared to most other places in Palermo. Beach filthy - don't know why you don't develop it. Filthy city. Don't bother - get in and out if need be.

- High contast of poor and luxory part in one city, to much traffic in old city, for turist is very stress, when probably must been a queit place to relax himself in day of holiday, beach in nearing city is very wild, too much garbage on street, that i seen, unacceptably dirty with trash everywhere, only clean on main streets and main attractions, these are my observations from my two days in Palermo + Beautiful history and objects of the greatest importance, luxurious parts seem to be out of time, a mixture of history, the history of many civilizations is felt everywhere, a recommendation to come and experience the adventure offered by the old town and the surroundings of this very important city

Palermo is such a great city with tons of shops and things to do, and it really comes alive in the evening. The nightlife is amazing, with so much energy in the streets. While we were there, my family and I did a pizza and gelato making class, which was such a fun experience. We also visited San Vito Lo Capo and Mondello beach, and the water was so clear and blue!

I was there three days and I feel I just scratched the surface. I would go back. Lots to do, lots to see, every street is a photograph, the food is phenomenal, the bars are great, the little strange things you come across just keep adding and adding. I don't know why I left it so long to go but I want more of this city. Go wander and get lost in it, you're going to take a lot of pictures.

The place was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. It included a vacuum cleaner, and iron and enough glasses and cups for everyone. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed the views of urban Sicily life. It was as quiet as Palermo gets with good restaurants and gelaterias (Bagliori is must-visit) close by. Anything in the old city was 10 to 20 min away by foot. Parking the car nearby was also possible with a bit of luck. The guy they hired to take care of us was helpful and did his best for us.

We went to Palermo for a family trip. The apartment is in a very good location with train station (train directly from airport) and a few restaurants, shops nearby. The apartment has two bathrooms, a kitchen and a large balcony, which was perfect for family. Everything was so tidy and we have everything we need in the apartment! The host, Davide, was very helpful and give us a lots of tips for our trip in Sicily. We will definitely stay at Casa Mari again if we come back to Palermo.

The B&B is great: clean, cozy and well-located. However, the highlight of the place is Martina, who is the host of the Dimora San Domenico. She makes you feel at home, she took the time to sit and chat with us about things to do in Palermo, where to eat, and how to spend our time there. The breakfasts were the best in Sicily. If I could give more stars to this place, I would!! ♥️
